Talk me off a ledge!!! I had an interview with one of the leading professional service firms that I won’t mention for an internal services Learning Manager role. (I’m a former employee from the consulting side) I had a first round interview, that from my perspective, I aced… I answered everything thoroughly, I was engaged with the interviewer…she stated my skills lined up perfectly with the role and that she wanted me to talk to her manager….15 min after the interview I get a no go email…ugh

I ordered a Tesla model 3 SR in April and I am able to take delivery this weekend, however I’m now unsure of whether it’s the right move financially. I have a lease on a 2020 BMW X3 that will end next month and was wondering if I should just buy that out and drive it for a few years. If it makes a difference I’m in SoCal so gas is $$$, but no EV charging in my apartment.

Tesla: $830/month + charging and insurance
BMW: $600/m + $150 gas + maint/insurance

Any thoughts? Is the Tesla worth it?

Hi, question on rent. My rent was 3000 and the property management had raised the rent to $3500 when I signed the renewal(6months lease) in April. However, at the time there was an error for the site that had link to the rent renewal and I never got to sign it. And also they never changed the “due amount” to $3500 on the payment website and I just kept paying $3000 for 4th and I heard nothing from the management. For those who have remote employees around the world, what tool do you use to build your org chart? Visio? We are a small company of about 110 employees using Slack for most of our communication (I’ve heard of Roots as an org chart tool in Slack but never used it). And we use TriNet as our main PEO for US employees, Deel for our global PEO then different systems for Asia.

Basics:
Legal assistant for 20 years (I’m under 40yrs old). I’ve been at my current company (big law) for almost 5 years. Just had my review and I was placed in the top tier category in the review process. However, my raise was 3.1%. Last year it was slightly less. I can’t tell if I’m being salty by thinking this is low or if being taken advantage of.

I had a really weird interview for Creative Director today.

It’s a small startup. HR interviewed me and asked all the hard hitting questions (how do you get design inspiration, how do you deal with design roadblocks, what sets you apart for this role?) which I thought was odd for a screening interview.

They made some affirmative noises then said the next step would be a design test (one pager) which I would present to a panel of interviewers including the CMO.
Anyone else think this is odd?

In the interview process for JPMorgan UX Designer role a if you work there, what is your salary for a senior role/ VP role? Is it hybrid/ remote? How do you like it?

I had technical and behavioral interview today at Deloitte Canada for visual analytics and information design position.
In technical round there was a case study to create visual data sheet and present it to technical round.

It went good they asked couple of questions and showed that at some point it lacks of continuity and rest thing is good. I have been told we will discuss and send details to HR and you will get update within few days. What are the chances that they can hire me ?
