Why do folks move or stay in Cali when the tax burden is pretty significant compared to another vibrant city like Atlanta or Dallas or Charlotte? I did some calcs and for a 250k salary the diff is 1800 a month in net pay between a no tax city/State such as Dallas, TX and about 1000 between Atlanta/Charlotte and CA. Those are significant numbers unless someone is making 2-4 times where a 1000-1800 may not matter to some.

And the other offer has a good pay and good designation (Associate Consultant) rather than the one I choose. Now i feel very low due to this decision that I took. Looking for salary ranges for remote research clinical data coordinator

A recruiter has come to me with staff positions in industry with heavy stock compensation (100k & 50k worth) and a salary that is just under my current big raise(within 2k). Is this normal at the staff level? Or would you be weary of these positions ?

Had a recent job offer from Amazon TC 146 K sign on bonus 42K RSU 508 for a L6 Sr. Program manager based out of Nashville. This is barely more than the amount I make now(actually base is lower than what I make). I’m planning to ask for about 18% more, is that a high number? Does anyone have an idea how much Amazon negotiates? This is for a non tech role so I’m not sure of the exact salary range.

Since I have interest in devops, I thought of moving into devops and also ppl says that devops have good future.

I don’t think that most people they find in the lake went in it willingly. Water makes it too easy to cover up murders. Washes away evidence. But it’s dismissed because most people they found had also been drinking. But people just disappearing miles away from the Lake don’t just fall in it. Yes, suicide happens. But many of these cases show zero signs of anything like that. The constant MO is being out with friends having fun. The friend vanishes. Then is found in the lake weeks later.
