Yeah. Always. Probably a form of anxiety

like

No, it’s a form of life

Had the same feeling, ended up getting fired

funny

Because your company doesn’t really GAF about you.

like

Not far off…towards the end I just decided to stop working and let the process work itself out

It's either anxiety or you're working in a toxic environment that's making you feel afraid.

like

It is because the companies want you to feel like that so they can have more power over you. They can keep assigning you more work and pushing you extra hours without the extra pay. Try taking breaks and don't take work too seriously. They won't care about you if a recession comes.

Literally always feel this way! Last week my boss called me on a day I was scheduled off to ask where I was and I had a panic attack. I thought for sure they were going to fire me but they didn't.

I have this feeling all of the time! Of course, one time this feeling turned out to be right and I was laid off. So now I have even more anxiety

like

Is something bothering you lately? Maybe you are psychologically exhausted and you need to relax a little bit. You must be anxious about what has been happening recently with the other companies due to economic distress.

like

Impostor syndrome will do this. Everyone makes mistakes. As long as you take ownership and learn, you'll be OK.

Hahaha this happened to me everyday while I was working in IB. The secret is: look for something else to do. I started working in Private Banking and this fear disappeared

like

100% same

Fired or laid off, whichever happens I'd not let it get to me beyond the first shock. Good riddance is the way to feel about it.

My manager casually threw out that she had an exec tell her it’s fine if she wants to close my division down next year. We are a niche team in a large company. I asked her to clarify as I am worried about my team (and me) she said we would be “well taken care of” as in receive severance…she was so casual about it and said she didn’t know what she would do - we’re performing well, but it’s a small market. What do I do? Warn my team? Look for jobs? I have been here for 20 years w/niche skills…

Hey All! I was recently laid off in November as part of a company mass layoff. I'm really taking this opportunity to shoot for a Director level position in Marketing. Hi everyone

I'm in a business development role based in Asia. May I get your thoughts/pointers on the CAIA?

I'm aware that the CAIA is not as popular in Asia compared to the CFA. From my knowledge, there are no CAIA holders in my current firm within the Asian region, despite dealing with alternative investments.

Would be happy to hear your thoughts regarding the CAIA, and study tips if you have any!
