Does anyone have any insight on data scientist interviews at Booz Allen/ average salary in the dmv area? Right now I only have a 30 min slot and the recruiter made it sound like this was it. I don’t know how you could do a semi technical round in 30 min.

In desperate need of referrals/recommendations for a reverse recruiter or headhunters that work for job seekers rather than employers. I’ve been job searching and interviewing for 2 years now and I can’t take it anymore! I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, the most it’s taken in the past was 5 months to get a job. Do I go back to my old firm? 3rd year lit. Been at new firm since start of the year, $130k. Left old firm on good terms, only left because I moved 4 hours to new firm to be with boyfriend (we’re no longer together). My firm has always had weekly meetings, and they are now held on zoom since we started working from home. Is it terrible to have my video off? I’m a junior, and I think it probably looks good to have it on, but it is the last thing I want to do at 8am on Mondays.

I'm wondering if this is accepted practice. My firm has a computer monitoring system that takes pictures of what you're working on every 5 seconds. The firm's HR/office manager then uses this to determine if you're working while you're in the office. Ex) I have outlook opened on my computer, but I'm inactive on my computer b/c I'm reading a paper file. This individual will walk into my office to see why I'm not 'working'. Getting pretty fed up.

Hi!! What’s the best way to research ways in which I may structure a company for tax purposes. Specifically one which is registered within the EU but operates in a third country solely. The EU LTD was established as a way to a) mitigate against the instability within the third country b) ensure funds could be easily transferred from clients due to ever changing restrictions. Kind of rocked at the news of Cheslie Kryst’s passing from an apparent suicide. Although we don’t know what exactly was the last straw for her, I can’t help but wonder if the demands of her lawyer job (on top of her many others of course) were too much. Sometimes I feel so disillusioned by this profession and it’s all consuming. I hope you all are taking care of yourselves and realizing you are much more to this world than what you do for a living.
