I had applied for two job openings in Deloitte USI for ServiceNow Developer role and they rejected the application within 4 hrs of applying stating “Unfortunately, after careful consideration, we have determined that our current position is not ideally suited to your talents, experience, and qualifications.” Can anyone shed some light on this. Are there any other eligibility criteria which I may be failing to meet? My 10th, 12th and Graduation is above 70 Deloitte Deloitte USI Deloitte India

It’s all survival instincts in our brain. Being rejected by a social group could mean death when we were living in caves. Our brains love to use the old parts to sniff out stressful situations. Jobs are tied to acquiring resources (money) to use for security (shelter, food, acquiring mates).
You were in the moment after the interview feeling socially connected. An hour afterwards, that feeling was replaced with anxiety about feeling part of that group, plus it kicked up all the basic needs.
Not joking when I say this, take a Tylenol. There’s research that shows we experience rejection like physical pain. You may be dress rehearsing rejection.
Also, distract yourself. Anxiety can lead to rumination. Keep yourself occupied while waiting to hear the responses.
Finally, know that you are not your thoughts. Your brain is trying to protect you from harm, but it is also causing you stress (AKA harm) trying to avoid harm. Try to step back and hold space for your brain trying to do a good thing. Thank it. And then reassure yourself that you are not your thoughts.

Noted D1 and SM1 Thank you. That has been another struggle. I was very active before COVID and have been struggling to get back to that place. A tough workout would always leave me feeling amazing and reduce anxiety and even headaches. I try to walk but I think it’s really more invigorating/strenuous activity and movement of the anxious energy that makes it so effective.
This is me also op. Not uncommon
Same. I’m a total costanza.
Isn’t that the majority? I do the same and the only thing that we can do is to accept that there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it now. What’s done is done

Omg 😆
I do this to. Give your phone to someone else and go get coffee with a bud. Beers after 5.
Definitely more common that we all over analyze but in the end, know that once the hour of interview is done, doing anything after wouldn’t change how the interview went. Take down notes so you can prepare for the next and make this your priority in mind so you don’t think and fret about the past! ✌️
We all do that...when something is important, a little second guessing is natural. Don't be hard on yourself.
Me after my google interview last Friday :( realized I could’ve said way more…always ramble and forget when I’m nervous…it was my dream role too…but hey! Practice makes perfect! It’s not the end!
Surprisingly never had a referral! Perhaps the roles I apply for aren’t popular (mostly sales and ad marketing)

I do the same exact thing OP
Yea particularly like the Tylenol advice as I went thru this recently. The anticipation was just driving me anxious and the only night I slept well was after taking an aleve (for other purposes) but it worked! Thanks Dir1
