[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

Thank you!

Why would you ever take a personal day? Take a sick day.
The healthy people in the office will appreciate you staying home. Especially since the firms have invested in our ability to work remotely
Wtf charge sick leave my friend
^weird! You are the third person I know who's gotten shingles as a result of public accounting stress
Take sick day... take advantage now. never know, may be they will take that away soon too.
You must be a first year. I don't feel bad when I'm sick but I do think alot because of what management will say about me.
Lol dude you aren't limited on sick days. If you're sick, stay home
I want sick days
I should add I know this because this job gave me shingles as an otherwise healthy 31 year old. (not bitter at all).
Omg. Take a sick day. EY has an unlimited sick day policy (but if it's either 3 or 5 consecutive days you have to have a doctor's note - not sure if it's 3 or 5). And for the love of God, do not come into the office/team room when you are sick and spread your germs to the rest of the team. Seriously. Most teams will 10000% support sick days and/or working from home until you are germ free as the rest of the team can't afford to get sick at the same time.
the policy is 5 consecutive days and its a problem e.g. warrants ST disability.Take advantage of one of the last remaining perks we have plus no one wants you hacking up a lung im the audit room anyway.
Sick days do not exist
I thought you need to pay for sick days
Take a sick day...
Sick days aren't charged for shit - take them!!
OP sick days are free days. Aka doesn't count against personal or vacation. I heard if you take three in a month or something they ask for doctors note
Oh man shingles are the worst! I've had them twice in my life. Luckily never as an adult but I still have scars. I feel bad taking sick day and usually will just work from home and maybe use a few hours for doctor, but feel like it's still expected to work.
Why would you want to work for a company that makes you feel guilty taking a sick day? That's no way to live.
