Hello Fishes, I am new here and would like your inputs on the Grade, Designation & Basic salary in TCS. 1. Is the Grade - 'C3B' & Designation - 'ASC - Associate Consultant' correct for 11 years and 6 months of experience ? 2. And is the Basic salary offered in TCS very less than the Market standard? Thanks in Advance 🙏🏼

Because people don’t keep them up to date
Is it up to date tho? Lol
Let’s regroup on availability
The fact that people do not keep their outlook calendar up to date is one of the most puzzling professional life choices.
💯
Some people forget to put PTO, doctors appointment, other non work related things
I think it’s a polite way of giving you a heads up that they are going to add another meeting to your calendar.
I think that’s a respectful way of asking if anything that’s open is fair game to suggest a meeting.
I work with a few Partners who still keep paper calendars, so I always ask upfront rather than play scheduling tetris.

That is such a pain in the ass when they do that. Total waste of time for everyone involved.
Because many times people came up with the lame excuse like they had “doctors appointment” and forgot to block off their calendar. This is especially painful when you are trying to set up a meeting with a national tax or subject matter specialist and the client (whose calendar you can’t see).
If it’s a internal team meeting, then I agree that you should just assume that the calendar is up to date.
They are trying to be respectful - maybe there was a vacation, a kid obligation, a workout session, you are part time, something not in your calendar. So they asked politely before inviting you to a meeting that unknowingly conflicted with something.
They may also be wondering if anything that’s currently blocked is actually available. I’ve definitely asked numerous people if they have any additional availability or if there calendar is up to date when I’m having a hard time finding an open time slot that isn’t at 6am or 10pm.
I agree with TM1, it’s a way of asking if all open slots are fair game. When you are busy people will throw placeholders on your calendar, an appointment may get confirmed or cancelled and outlook doesn’t update those offline matters automatically. Just like email, a calendar needs to be worked on to keep it truly current.
They could mean your Schedule Calendar. I know we keep getting nagged about keeping that thing up to date so the Resource Managers can properly "allocate" projects to the resources. If it is a Resource Manager who is asking. They probably have a bunch of projects that need a manager and reaching out passively to see if you can take them.
No it’s for upcoming meetings. Not sure how a schedule wouldn’t be what it’s showing…doesn’t really make sense.
Bc most folks don’t put their personal schedule on their work calendar is why
