Why do people not like using Robinhood? I feel it’s great.

I’m 32F living in one of the most expensive non-US cities worldwide. I reevaluated my financial plans and would like to get your thoughts and pointers from the wiser fellow here.
Have a 380k usd net worth, and my financial goals are:
1. Buy a first home
2. Children education to top university (single, no kids now. But i know this is what I want someday)
3. Retirement by 55
I don’t actively invest in this period, but keen to know how others do it & choose the right invsmt vehicle for above goals.

Austin fishes.. what’s with this real estate frenzy that’s happening since Jan 2021? Price wars.. 40-50 K over asking... I get the facts..Elon Musk in, Apple in, more disposable $ for investors, Bitcoin and stock market bull runs.. but this real estate madness I see in Austin now.. this is CRAZY!

Is it bad to ask someone you are close with at work how much there salary is? Me and a colleague recently started a new position few months ago, same title. I’m sure we make the same, but curious to confirm. We talk about non work related stuff often and money.

I totally messed up. I had enough for down payment (HYSA), and pumped everything aside from that lump into stocks before the crash. Now houses went WAY up and I have not enough for down payment anymore. Can’t sell stocks at a loss. So I have just been saving my checks as fast as possible but I’m disheartened that’s houses seem to just keep going up. My raise can’t keep up at all.

Quick question on Personal Capital — I just downloaded and set up the app. It looks like only 3 months of my Chase credit card transaction history will import to the expenses. Is this right?
