Our school is terrible with implementing any kind of character education. They tried to this year but the lessons were thrown together and half the teachers didn’t participate. Any suggestions?
It should be a lesson to all of us that Index Funds like VOO are not always the winner. Actually, it almost is guaranteed a loser under current conditions... But use your judgement it’s not difficult.
One of the best business lessons I ever got was from the Simpsons. Bill gates destroyed homers computer and Internet business and told him "you don't get rich writing lots of checks"
So many ideas to write about, but as an educator I end up writing with “lessons” in my head - Culture, grammar, words, and it ends up more like non-fiction.

Not necessarily a woman-specific problem, but as an A2 hoping to be promoted this fall, I’m nervous I’m losing important time to learn. Any words of wisdom?
Quick advice on financing a used car? Any recommendations/lessons learned? Thanks! Happy to provide additional info
Ladies I have a tutor to learn a second language and my tutor is late to every lesson. Not by a few minutes but at least 20-30minutes. I'm hesitant to find a new teacher and find new books, teaching style and so on, and I've mentioned I need to start on time but don't think she understands that this is bad etiquette. I don't think this is a cultural difference. I simply don't understand. How do you address someone who is always late and does not feel the need to fix it?!
Does the workload lesson over time, or do you just get used to the longer hours? Hmmmm...
USExit in Afghanistan is actually a good lesson on how not to do client enablement / change management. Like, can you imagine things reverting back to exactly how it was prior to a 20-yr project within days and even before you’ve had a chance to wrap up?
Here’s a reminder for my perfectionists, first/second years, and those of us questioning if we’re doing enough. Your lessons do not need to be incredible this year. Fall back on some of your favorites, do what you can, and make sure you’re allocating time for yourself everyday. Yes everyday or else you will go insane. End each day by saying you did your best and no matter what mistakes you make or if lessons flop, try again the next day. You. Are. Human.
So leveraging existing assets and lessons learn, is this a good practice? My interviewer said their company prefers to do things from the scratch. I’m very confused 😐
When do you make lesson plans? I teach at the elementary level with no planning period allotted! I have a 35 minute elective schedule ,mon-thurs, but it's actually 25 mins (drop off & pick up kids) .

Been on the bench 2 weeks and nervous about getting laid off but also 10x happier with my life now that I’m not stressed out 60 hours a week. Is it bad that not working makes me happy...

What are the role titles I should be searching for in industry that have equivalent or greater pay than consulting roles? I need something low key or slower paced than the Big 4 that focuses on strategic communications or learning development.

Hey Everyone!! My name is Goyaam Jain. I have been working with many new startups, and found out that many new startups are just following the trend of having a startup instead of actually solving a problem or understanding what is actually meant by a startup. If you are a startup and solving a problem for people, I would like to share your story to them, inspire them to follow the true path of entrepreneurship. An example of an interview youtu.be/vyfaMJeXVSk If you are interested to share your story, ping me
So I was approached by a recruiter for a job where I’d be a W2, hourly, contract worker on behalf of the company. The pay is currently double my salary and the company i’d be working for as a consultant is very well respected. What are the pros and cons? It sounds to good to be true and finally something that would pay me for the work I’m doing (they said no PTO but that it just translates to unpaid vacation).
Been on the bench nearly a month doing internal work because project I'm reserved for keeps getting pushed. How do I get out of this and get on something chargeable?
