Triple levered funds are way to risky for long term holding. Make sure you understand how they work. It is not how many think they work.

Because TQQQ also returns 300% of the QQQ’s daily losses. Leveraged funds aren’t meant to be held for more than a few days.
Outside of the risk, There is a decay in TQQQ. In a bull market I think you are still fine holding but any sideways movement slowly eats into the leveraged ETF. I honestly don’t fully understand it but I did check the charts and you can see the decay. Look at the 10/13 and 11/6 prices for both QQQ and TQQQ and you will slight different price for TQQQ on those dates when QQQ was the same.

Sorry I’m a noob to QQQ, what’s the difference?
So TQQQ if you’re holding for long term?

I do hold both, tho TQ drop pretty fast when the market is down, but you should be fine if you allocate them properly. I rebalance them every quarter.
Honestly though they’re great for momentum plays. Hold QQQ and use TQQQ to lever up on it when you want to overweight it.
How does QQQJ compare? I’ve heard that’s better
Thanks! Makes sense
