Happy hour oysters near Chelsea/Hudson yard/HK?
I had a recruiter reach out to me from Google 3 years ago about a role she thought I would be good for. She really advocated for me to be in the role but the hiring managers didn’t feel like I was qualified.
We had a discussion and she gave me a lot of good feedback on how I could be a stronger candidate and encouraged me to reach out to her directly for future opportunities. Fast forward to now, I’ve gained a lot of experience and skills. Should I reach out even though it’s been 3 years?

Either its a bad recruiter or you're not the candidate they're looking for.
Maybe the former because they reached out to me in the first place and scheduled time to have an initial conversation then they just ghost just like that. This is. FAANG recruiter

Same reason people on dating apps ghost, there are hundreds of options and you didn't make the cut. Unfortunately we live in a world where if there's nothing to gain, it's considered a waste of time. Chin up, it happens to the best of us.
Lol I didn’t even have a conversation yet, they reached out to schedule time to talk and never showed up for the call.
I’m pretty sure I just had it happen to me. It doesn’t feel great, but I’ll live. After awhile, the recruiters who do this often, get a bad rap, and it’ll be deserved.

It is often because you are the number 2-5 candidate, and they are sorting through offer letters to the candidates ahead of you and that takes forever. Also possible that they have a company policy to ghost to reduce liability. Simple calculation that reduction of liability is more value than perceived company worth from rejected candidates. I don't agree with it, but hey the later is more difficult to quantify
Because most of the ppl they talk to is just to get their numbers up.
