Hi all, is it possible to negotiate after getting an offer from a company? They have agreed to provide me 50% hike now. At my present organization, i am expecting annual hike and bonus in the month of April payroll. But if I initiate resignation during the April payroll processing time, i won't be eligible for the hike and bonus. So based on this, do i have any right to ask for 10 or 15% more at the other company?

I have a offer from Quebec, Canada as a Senior Frontend Developer(Angular) with yearly base salary of 100k CAD plus 14k CAD as Equity.

They are offering relocation package for both me and my spouse (she can apply for open work permit there).

I will be having a restricted work permit.

My Current CTC in India is 16 LPA.

Also they are asking me to join remotely till my work permit comes.

Should I go ahead or wait for the work permit ? Is the offer enough to sustain there ?

I switched jobs in September 2021. Old job was $54k annually. New one is $147k and $20k sign on bonus. I have 45% of my IRA in traditional and 65% in Roth. Should I rollover the traditional to Roth right now? My rationale for wanting Roth is the principle is more accessible. Goal is also to pay less taxes and retire early.

Our firm is rolling out voluntary hour adjustment/reduced salary and although they are saying this program is not mandatory, I feel pressured because we had few nationwide webcasts on this and partners calling personally to discuss. I understand the worst scenario is to be laid off and taking a reduced salary may be better deal for many. However, the salary here is peanut compared to what they pay in US and cost of living is high - I barely manage with the current pay. Starting to get anxious 😟

My husband and I live in Central Texas. We haven't had power for three days. We have two dogs. Zoe, one dog, has a closer bond with me, and Cody, the other dog, is closer to my husband.
I've been so damn stressed about literally freezing all the time and not having power. Earlier today we were getting in the car to warm up. I was packing things and said I would catch up.
