Why do so many of you seem to think you need a referral to get an interview at MBB? I’ve interviewed ~200 candidates and fewer than 10% had a referral.

Is it common to request either a time guarantee (2-year contract for instance) or a greater than normal amount of severance when interviewing for roles in times like this?

My current role is pretty secure, so besides increased comp, I’d want to make sure any new role would include some sort of safety net.

I have 7 years experience in L&D space overseeing large scale projects across industries with large corps. In my last role, I wore many hats and decided I wanted to focus on developing my skill set in sales specifically. I worked with a coaching company to help them scale their business to see how I liked being in a sales focused role and it was great. Now I’d love to merge both. I have some roles in mind, but curious if anyone out there is doing both in your role? What’s your day like?

I was wondering if any of you had engagements where you were a staff but had a Senior role and the Senior had more of a staff role. Not sure how to proceed but a fit frustrated when I’m doing close to 60 hours and have way more responsibility and the senior is doing a lot less. Any tips?

If compensation wasn't talk about in a interview, does that mean I didn't get the job?
I did talked to the recruiter before the interview and we did talk about compensation. At the end of the interview, the recruiter said there's other candidates they are interviewing as well and will get back to me in a few weeks. The hiring Manager seems nice but talked about the job description etc. I just want to know if I got it or not?
