Why do some companies take 2+ weeks to respond after final round interviews?

A couple reasons: A lot of times you’re interviewing with relatively senior people who have busy calendars and hard to get everyone on an invite to gather / discuss all feedback. There’s also typically other candidates in the mix and scheduling / evaluating other candidates doesn’t always align perfectly with the timing of your interviews.

Got it! When was the last time you received a response from the recruiter? It sounds like it was this week and they said that they’re having difficulty scheduling a feedback session with the team?

Not to discourage you, but They may have also given an offer to another candidate and are waiting to hear back before they respond to you

Hi all,

I’m in the middle of my prep for interviews for entry level positions. A lot of online material seems geared towards consultants/managers, in terms of complexity.

Whats a good amount of time to dedicate to case prep for example? and any advice on managing the pressure/nerves too?

Thanks! :)

So I had all my rounds at Walmart, submitted documents, salary negotiation completed with HR and post that she says that she needs some approval from the business and then will release offer letter. It's been 3 weeks and I followed up every week and the reply was always "we are yet to hear back from business" until today when she said me go ahead with your other offer in hand I don't know if business will approve or not.

I wanted to know if anyone else faced a similar situation? Walmart

I currently work at a large research institution and am in the process of getting retroactively reclassified to a new title (Long story but my PI is cheap and routinely pays ppl the bare minimum so now the Union is helping me w/ a retro reclass.) Reclass can take 2 - 6 months to process. Meanwhile, I am interviewing for industry job. If I get an industry job, what do I do if my reclass isn’t processed yet? I want the title and the money owed which may be about $15000- 20000.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on applying to several different positions within the same company? I’m looking at about 4 each with different focuses but mainly revolving around data analytics or entry level project analyst/coordinator. A friend of mine said it’s not a good look as it shows the company that you’re desperate. I really disagree, I feel it’s in your best interest to apply as many as you feel qualified for. Any thoughts?

1. Big 4 - Manager, $180k + $20k sign on, told a good expectation is 12-15% bonus next year. 1.5% 401k match and 3% pension contribution. First year cash would be around $225k
2. New, well funded advisory arm of an established business - Engagement manager, $210k, 20-25% bonus. 2.5% 401k match. First year cash closer to $250k
