Tata Consultancy Hi fishies, I recently interviewed for a Big data dev role for Autodesk but it's via a third party called Applicantz. Initially the contract is for 1 year, which can be extended. There is also scope of Autodesk hiring permanently after 6 months or 1 year. Can anyone provide some reviews about Autodesk and third party Applicantz. Usually I would not have considered anything via a third party, but the company(Autodesk) seems great and work discussed seems good as well.

Hi Folks,
My wife has 5 years of experience in Banking Industry now she want to switch her career in IT, she has worked as coding instructor for html/css/js/react native, she has React certification as well. Now she is ready to take interviews.
Now how to convey this to recruiters and are they ok to take interview for frontend developer, how much experience can be considered and what salary can be expected?
Happy Monday fishies!!! Looking forward to a great week 💃🏼 Three job interviews, one asessment, and one is renegotiating a salary counter offer……I’m a bit nervous but feel confident and in control. I don’t feel like this often so I am going to embrace it 🤗 keep you posted! IQVIA and Syneos Health

To get a sense of how competitive your candidacy will be. It’s normal to be interviewing at multiple companies and you should be comfortable saying so.
Bluntly, everyone becomes more attractive when sought by others.
It also lets them know that they need to think about timeline more and could lose you if they are too slow
Give them a number like 3 not 7. Gotta show them you are a serious sought after candidate and not a clown who applied to all the shops on the street
What makes a company even think that they’re the only one you are interviewing with? You are certainly not their only candidate. I wonder how they’d react if you asked them if they are interviewing other people? An interview should be a conversation between two parties on the same level, not between an almighty employer and a desperate job seeker.
I have asked at times how many others are being interviewed and what does their timeline look like. It’s funny how they all looked shocked by that question. 😂
One time I was interviewing at two places, one I was serious about the other not so much. The place I was serious about mentioned that they loved me, but didn’t have an opening just yet and it may be a while, so I put them on back burner. Second place asked if I was looking elsewhere during phone screen and I said not at the moment, and she set me up with an in person.
First job came through before in person with second place, I cancelled with them and the recruiter FLIPPED OUT on me for lying to her, saying she was disappointed in me, etc. etc. it was crazy
That’s crazy. More a reflection of the recruiter than anything you did. It’s a hot market and things can move quickly .
Oh OK, I was curious because I didn’t think the interview was going well. When asked the question, I didn’t want to make it seem like I was desperate to leave my current role (because im not). My response was that another company had reached out to me, but did not indicate where I was in the process which is that I had just wrapped up final rounds.
I guess it could still be the case that they were questioning why I was leaving ?
Sometimes they also use it to evaluate what you are seeking in an employer. Eg if you say oh I am looking for a smaller tight knight community with a unique focus for a firm and then you say you’re applying at the Big 4 companies; like really? That’s a BS answer to why us or what you’re looking for in a culture. Usually though it’s what BCG1 said - timeline. Another reason is also yield - if they are competing against your top competitors you may need to bring in different interviewers so could start the sell process early if they really like you.
Of course you can say yes, but no need to give a number.
