Anyone else working because they're bored?
Earlier i was hired to work on testing/automation but after joining training was never given on that and they took me in an internal project which i wasn't aware of. After working for more than a year i want to switch to testing, so I requested the same to a higher official. They said we can't switch you to testing as you don't have training but we can take you later on and give you training side by side with your current project. Should I believe them or switch the company. Please help PwC

Because there are lot of people who will do their work and just leave. What lacks in Indian workers is the vision, thinking about tomorrow, communication skills and mainly solving business problems.
You see a lot of them just try to be good at one technology or language. They think that is enough. That is short sightedness. What happens after you are ten yrs into the job? Are you OK with sr resource title? Don't you want more responsibilities? At present, there are many people who do not want headaches but money.
Consulting experience is highly needed as those are the guy who face the client, takes pain in understanding requirements and takes responsibility in finding or designing a solution. Sometimes the guy takes execution burden too.
A tech company needs good people who can solve problems and not hide in shadows. This is the reason why you see that many consultants have a different view on the workings of a company as they have understanding of the inner workings. People who complain are the regulars that can be easily replaced.
