Kind souls who successfully exited to Google,
Would you be kind enough to refer me to a role at Google!
Came across a role that's a good fit. Would ideally like to target it through a referral and not by applying through the career site.
Would also love to maybe take you for a meal or alike to thank you for it :) Google

I typically talk about their clients, maybe say a piece of work I liked and could see myself working on. If I know who I’m talking to, I’ll search em on LinkedIn and try to ask questions from there. Do your homework I suppose, no matter what level you’re at.
If you’re looking to hire a strategy intern this Summer, I’d love an opportunity to talk the talk.
You know why you’re looking for a job even if you don’t know if you want a job there yet. Frame it in terms of what you’re looking for (and try to do enough homework to know a little of how it relates to their agency). I’m really excited about _____ client/category. I’m looking for strong leadership. I’m looking for an opportunity that will help me develop _____ skill.
Your interviewer wants to know what youre going to do for them, this question is all about them. Research the company's mission, vision, customers, employees, industry, news, financial information if available, etc. When you are competing against other candidates, you all basically have the same or very similar qualifications, differentiate yourself by calling out if its a company or industry that you are passionate about, why and how has the company or industry impacted your life and others?
I wish it was appropriate to say - why did you want to interview me?! But it all seriousness, other suggestions are great. I try to ground it in research as well, though at a major and established company I always feel like that is such an obvious reply. Personally, I try to talk about the role, and what I can offer to the company; and then pivot that to the idea of longevity and why I think the place I’m interviewing at excites me as a place to grow with (this assumes you genuinely feel this way). This might sound self serving, but I think it may be something ‘everyone’ doesn’t say. Loyalty is important and it’s hard for agencies to fight constant turnover over these days. For me, I really do want to stay put and when I interview it’s bc I hope that company is somewhere I can do that - not just get a pay check and move on.
