Any Aon pension actuaries who could help my friend understand the hierarchy of titles? Let’s say my friend has 10 years of experience, FSA and EA credentials, was a consistently high performer over his career, what would his expected title be at Aon within the core retirement actuarial business? Thanks in advance.

I studied in distance and full time both. If you are not doing from a very reputed colleges then there is no difference. I have seen engineer students how they clear exams . One can have family issues or dependencies to go for distance mode. We should Judge by their experience and quality of work they do and not because he has done some full time courses . IBM Amazon Google all accepts knowledge and they don't go by degrees .
I know it is tough for people who dint know all these and they are now restricted from working mnc companies.
yeah this is true, but I think as long as it's a known/reputable school, it doesn't matter as much as it used to pre-pandemic
We will gladly have you with distance education degree - makes no difference to us . In fact some jobs we are not even asking for any college degree now if you have the skills
This is really good to know.
Ibm HCl Capgemini accepts candidates having education in distance mode.
You can't judge a person based on few 30-60mins interviews so few companies check the education background of the candidates. The education background will give them an idea about the candidate's quality. In max cases there is no proper eligibility criteria to get selected in a distance course. Everyone prefer a candidate with normal full time course. Even few companies check your marks as well. Sadly max people do not know that distance education doesn't have same value as normal and marketing camping also are there
You can't do anything buddy. Look at the top management layer of all the companies. Maximum are passed out from tier 1,2 mba colleges or mba degree from foreign college. You only see few folks reaching to the top level based on their experience and expertise. Don't they deserve it? Still everyone prefer a manager with a MBA degree not an expert with hands-on experience 😂 you can't do anything
I think u have this thought bcoz u hv completed 12+3 full time... U won't understand a genuine candidate with expert knowledge but distance education
The real is answer is that a lot of the distance education is run by organizations (even when it is a legit higher Ed institution) making a cash grab and less focused on student learning and experience. So there is a lot less trust in distance learning degrees to convey actually learning. Instead, it is viewed suspiciously as diploma mills
