Does base vs bonus really matter? I have an offer for 160k with 15k sign on. I was hoping for ~180k bonus (without sign on). But doing the math, it comes out very close to as if I’d have a 175k base without sign on? Maybe I used wrong tax rates? Anyone can help?

I am currently looking to change companies. Recently got my child's passport renewed. Child is minor so effectively a new passport. Here is the timeline, with just regular service.
6/2 Applied in person at the local county office
6/6 The application reached the State Dept
7/9 Got email that status changed to Approved
7/12 Received the new passport
End to end, a little more than 5 weeks. "Routine service can take 8-11 weeks" is the standard disclaimer. It's all good people!

Any financial advisors on here also own a small business or have a side hustle? I love my job but I also love teaching. Have been thinking of starting a consulting business to help businesses run more efficiently and help people start their own small businesses. How did this go over with compliance? Is there a conflict of interest issue? Any and all info on your experience is appreciated!

I have sent zero faxes in the past year, and only received 4 (all part of one issue). Am thinking about dropping it altogether. Came to mind when Schwab just stopped accepting Advisor docs via fax.
