Why does EY file PERM at the manager level when you are a senior? Do you have to wait until you eventually get to the manager level to continue with the process? Thanks!

You need to be manager at the time you receive your GC. So say if you’re a Senior 2, you can file PERM for a Manager role

like

As I understood, you must be a manager by the time you have an I-485 interview with USCIS

Most likely yes.

No, you do not have to wait as far as I know. My PERM and 140 were approved last year. Filed as a manager but I’m still a senior.

SC 1- what level senior were you when they filed and got approved? 2,3? Also did you have to initiate them filing?

Man I've been lied by KPMG HR telling me they can only start the PERM when I'm a manager. What a load of...

It’s so tricky to navigate traveling while on H1b that I would think most firms would want to apply for green card for their employees asap to avoid all the hassle. I understand it’s quite the investment on their side but in the current political climate I don’t see why wait until manager

I think it all depends on your ppmd group. I asked my ppmd for approval after snr 1 busy season (April) for approval. It was approved and I received my gc in my snr 3 year. So I don't think there is a standard policy that says they start the process at snr 2 or whatever. All depends on your ppmd (counseling family leader)

Gotcha, thanks!
