Why does IBM pay associate differently with same band and different location?IBM

I've noticed that my coworkers tend to work more on their own than with others, even when they're all in the office. Is this normal? I feel like it would be helpful for everyone to talk about their projects more often—I mean, what if someone else has solved the same problem you're trying to solve already?

When you bought a home (for yourself not investment property) how did you know it was the right home? Obviously no home will check every single box, but I’m getting cold feet on putting in offers so just wondering what worked for other people

Live in a highrise and moving. Want to get rid of a lot of furniture including a sleeper sofa (which many pickup services won’t take). I don’t care if I get a penny from it and am willing to pay to get rid of it, in fact. But I’d prefer to not spend much time on it because I have a demanding job, and I also have the constraint of needing to schedule the loading bay and freight elevator in my building (i.e., can’t just sell on Craigslist and have a rando pick up at a random time).

Hi! I’m graduating law school soon with a prospective job in-house at a tech company, doing a mix of transactional & privacy law. I wanted to know the average salary for a privacy (and transactional) lawyer these days, so I’m well positioned to advocate for myself. I am on mat leave and wanted to cut my leave for financial needs. I got an offer outside my company which offers me almost 20k more, but not sure if I really enjoy the work like I do with my current. Should I still give my company a resignation notice or I can keep it till the end of my leave which is almost after 8 months? Thinking if i don't like the job I can go back? Hi All! I’m working under contract and so far I love the work, my team and the company. My contract is contract to perm hire based off my performance. How should I go about preparing to gain salary/bonus insight for my role as a coordinator in my derpartment? Any feedback would be appreciated seeing I always low ball my value and asset to the company via negotiating and offer acceptance.

How do I go about this? I just received an offer from a firm much lower than I had expressed but I also have interviews next week. Do I negotiate for higher salary now or let them know I have interviews next week and will get back to them?

Started a contract job at beginning of Oct. @ $85k/year for four months with verbal assurance that they would offer me a permanent role and possibly pay bump after term (placement was thru consulting firm). Hey! I got an offer today from R@kuten for Sr Business Analyst of CAD $110K+15% annual bonus. Verbally in conversation with recruiter I had asked for CAD 115+10% annual bonus. I was initially offered $110k+10% annual bonus. I think I’ve already priced myself low which might be decent (not sure) for Toronto but way less in comparison with Bay Area where most of team will be based off. Any advice on how to ask for more base or joining bonus?

Interviewed with a remote-first company and was repeatedly asked if I'd be open to relocation (yes) even though they said no one really uses their offices. One person mentioned they prefer new folks to move to be closer to offices/sites. The salary range is fine for where i currently live and would work remote, but way lower than I'd expect if I moved somewhere with MUCH higher cost of living. Would it be possible to negotiate relocation assistance and higher salary if they "prefer" I relocate?
