Because you were grinding to get to where you are today. Jk but at least in my experience in college, I had free time where I could recharge from the intense spurts of focus. Now it’s just constant work which makes burnout come a lot faster

Funny, I feel the opposite.

Oh you mean when you were 20 and would say things like “I just never get hungover”? It’s a different level of energy.

It’s the age catching up!

Hi all, I'm considering moving to the US from Europe. I've got 2 years of mgmt consulting exp at MBB and operating exp at a startup, and a European passport. Will I be at a disadvantage during the application process if I do require a visa in the US? If so, what are the options to break into the US? Targeting strategy and ops roles. Thanks for your tips!

Is it worth driving 1hour+ each way for free childcare twice per week? We are having trouble finding a quality nanny for two days (we have a great nanny on other two days). Rather than continuing to pay big $$$ for inconsistent and unreliable care, it thinking of driving to my dads house to let him take the kids while I work from his home office. May be problematic if Both me and my husband are needed in the office. Do you think it’s a good idea? Will save me $260 per day / $520 per week

My current lease is up next May when I’ll be coming up on 2 years with my firm and getting close to promotion. I’m thinking about asking to work from home permanently when my lease is up so I can move to a LCOL area and be closer to family. Would working remote hurt my chances for promotion?

Our nanny takes my 7 month old out for one, sometimes 2, long walks every day (weather permitting). Love the idea of fresh air every day but its often for several hours at a time and he always returns home crying bc she's pushed him to his limit between feedings. She brushes it off saying hes just fussy which kind of irks me. Im also concerned that he's spending too much time strapped in a stroller. Is it reasonable to ask her to take shorter walks? Am I overreacting?
