They aren’t going to invest money and time with someone they are firing,

Likely because it saves time and money to call someone vs travel to speak with them

Haven’t you seen “UP in the air”. The new technology took over from in person and then got internalized by consulting companies ..

Pretty confident, most layoffs in consulting are done on the phone. In 20 years, I haven't known anyone, myself included, who was laid off face to face.

Same happens in PwC

That's unusual. I heard most happen via phone calls.

Heartbroken because we just lost my dream house. 😭
No, there is nothing else like it on the market. No, I won't find something similar.
No, it'll never be the same, but life will go on.
Gorgeous practically new model home with all the fixings coming fully furnished in my preferred neighborhood with good schools, TJS, gorgeous green running trails. I could almost smell the backyard bbqs and taste the birthday cake. Feeling crushed.

Pour one out for potential futures that could have been 🥃

How is the on-site opportunity in RBEI for a new joiner? Also, if not for early joiners, what is the possibility of getting on-site in general?

SA level; still in Flux but would love additional perspective. Pretty open on where I'd want to be long term. Unsure what exit I'd shoot for if any. I like the idea of EBITDA impact vs PMO and being compensated should I be able to add a tail - my backgrounds tech though so I find myself doing IT centric work regardless of interest.

I know the latter have bigger bonuses.

Hi Ladies! New manager here... I recently asked my team to turn on their video whenever the client turns it on. I felt it's a basic etiquette to do so but few of my team members didn't turn it on even after my request. How can I manage a team who doesn't listen to me? 😞

Hi! I’m a field consultant and I make roughly $200k. I’m tired of the sales aspect of this job and considering pivoting into project management. My question is can I make $200k or close to it in that role? If so is there a particular industry I should focus? Little background I have a MBA and completing my doctorates at the moment. I do have enough transferable skills to make this change but salary is a concern along with culture.

Has anyone in small law successfully implemented a diversity recruitment plan for their firm? I’m the only female attorney at my firm, and out of 12 attorneys only 2 are not white. The founding partners have said that they are interested in hiring more diverse attorneys, but it is clear they have no idea how to go about doing that. Does anyone have any practical advice for making this happen? I am not a partner but have significant political power, and want to make this a priority. Thank you!!

Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google
