Sanity check. I like a nice lifestyle. Currently make 350-550k with bonus. 53 years old. About 400k in brokerage. Another 1.9million in retirement accounts. House worth 1.2 million with loan of 625k. For retirement pension will be $2400 per mo which goes to my wife if I die for life. Another 3800k Per month estimated from Social Security. I plan on working another 10 years or so maybe less once the kids graduate college. I am this will be out in 2024. What should I be doing or thinking about?

My company has always had SalesForce but it was not really a tool that we used or that anyone looked at. Over the last year my company has put more stress on growth (to be acquired or IPO) and they are now obsessed. I know it is important and necessary and my boss is clearly becoming stressed with our entire team. MIT Sloanies - why do they flake so much? Connection to the school seems weak.

After being admitted, I reached out to other current students at other M7s and generally they’ll spend 10 to 30 minutes to chat.

Sloan’s hit rate is 50% and requires multiple follow ups for the ones who agree to talk. One even suggested to correspond via email. I mean these are current 2Ys who are basically on half vacation. And I’m an admit - not some random asking “what is the culture”.

Am I just unlucky?
