This is so true. It recommends me entry level roles that I did years ago or worse industries I have no interest in and doesn’t seem to learn. Also still gives me recs for the city I don’t live in. You would think for such a large and popular platform they would do better...oh wait

I am in shock, and wanted to share the good news somewhere! I somehow got included in a salary review 8 weeks after joining my exit opp, and my TC has taken off: -May / Consulting: 130k base, 10k bonus, 0 stock -June / Exit: 150k base, 20k bonus, 35k stock -Aug / Review: 170k base, 25k, 100k stock I am so proud, and excited to see all my hard work pay off!

I am a background check away from putting in my notice. KEEP grinding if you’re miserable and/or have trouble getting out of bed in the morning. This took a lot of ghosting and interviews+offer letters being taken off the table due to COVID. Stay humble and you’ll be next. Take a midday walk and schedule some coffee meetings to expand your network and stay sane.
