I'll be joining the consulting world very soon and am thinking about getting a new personal credit card. My meal expenses are per diem so I'm thinking about the AmEx Gold card as it has 4x points on dining. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on personal cards for consultants and how to go about my corporate card as well! TIA
Capgemini is hiring for RPA/Intelligent Automation roles in the US. I do not believe they are able to sponsor candidates for these roles. The roles are primarily remote (travel to client as required/when offices open) but would prefer the candidates to be located in Charlotte, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, and El Paso. DM me if you are interested in any of the below roles and I can provide more details. UiPath: Business analyst, developer, solution architect WorkFusion: Solution Architect

Household income is 350k in jersey city. Traveling to India can we afford business class return flight is around 3.5k per person its me and my wife . Economy is around 800
Legit question: now that 90% of you all don’t have an expense account or travel, why are you doing consulting? Wlb and pay are shit, professional dev opps are good but can be developed in 2-3 years - so why not leave after
Anyone following this gabby petito case? I’ve been for weeks and it’s truly shocking how easily avoidable this could have been if the officers who stopped them didn’t fall for her fiancé’s “victim” bs. I can’t believe they told her to sleep in her van and put him up in a hotel for the night. The entire situation is a true mirror of how flawed our law enforcement system is to deal with crisis situations or DV disturbances.
Need 3,000 PQPs by Nov 30 to retain United 1K status as part of Fly to the Finish offer. What’s easiest way to get these last PQPs?? Just blow out on a first class flight?
Hi! For US citizens traveling back tonUS from Canada, what type of COVID testing is done and where can it be taken from? When can we do the booking and how long before the flight should we take the test?

What can I get for a friend who’s on an intensive travel schedule? Wanted to make him a “traveler’s survival” kit
Just got an offer for a Sr. AWS DevOps role at 145K, I will be working remotely 100% with maybe 5% travel, if any. No bonus with this company. I have over 8 years of DevOps and AWS, all AWS certs . Should I be asking for more $? Thoughts on the offer and how much more $ I should be asking for ? Current location is kinda irrelevant since I will be working remotely.
Are HOAs and property taxes a thing in London? Debating a job btwn nyc and London and while at first glance nyc looks better money wise, housing seems so so much more expensive if buying. HOA plus property taxes add thousands to the mortgage. Wondering how that looks like in London. Can’t find anything but initial stamp tax in whicb case the pay delta is narrowing…
Anyone at RSM or any other midsized firm know what the average pay for Senior Transaction services is? I would also assume the hours are a bit better than big 4 FDD? Looking to decide between industry or give another few years to public accounting. Also for the Chicago area or any MCOL area
Love getting 10% back on my Accenture fees. Gotta love the Chase Sapphire even though it hurts those salaries!
If I get rejected after final rounds at Big 4 is it weird to immediately apply to the same firm but different role? Will they know I just got rejected? Experienced hire btw

I was due for a promotion but then covid hit, and during the peak of layoffs/furloughs, I was given the run-around that we have agency wide promotion freezes, etc. Over the past month, a handful of people have been promoted. I know everyone's situation is different but I can't help feeling snubbed. How do I know whether they are genuinely trying to promote me and can't, versus them stringing me along for as long as possible? I dont want it to come to having to bring another offer to the table..
I had my onsite 5 weeks ago, and recruiter reached out last week saying I cleared Hiring Committee, and that he’s waiting for VP approval before we move on to compensation talk. How long does the VP approval typically take? And what is the probability of rejection at this stage? Also, how many more review stages are there before I am made a written offer (assuming I clear VP approval)? Thanks!
I’m terrified of pregnancy but not of motherhood (except for the noise, kids are so loud). Pregnancy/breastfeeding looks horrible to me, but I’d feel bad about missing out on kids because I was scared of something that wasn’t so bad. It doesn’t help that I don’t know a single pregnant person—in my 30s and none of my friends have children! Any moms out there who can speak about what it’s actually like?
Those of you who are waiting or opposed to the COVID vaccine - do you feel obligated to divulge your true vaccine status to restaurants, employers, etc.?
What does M&A consulting at big 4 look like, especially at the entry level? All my previous experience is in audit/tax and I know nothing about consulting, just wanted to try something new. I liked my finance courses in undergrad, but not sure how relevant that is. Would I have ANY transferable skills from my accounting background? Can you explain what the work is like for a new hire? Especially if you've made a similar switch?
Has anyone heard of re-doing an interview round? I got my on-site interviews’ feedback today, and did well in all but 1 round. Recruiter gave me the option of re-doing that round with a different panel in a week or two, given the high strength of the rest of my interviews. Do these situations work out or should I not get any hopes up?
Mindtree CTC contain 12% variable/bonus. Do they pay that 12% as part of monthly salary. Are there any clause on this part of CTC? If in case you are not part of project, than is this variable is still payable?
How can I invest more and be smarter with my money? Some facts: Age -24 Salary - 103,000, Rent - 1850$ in New York. Seems like every few months I have a unavoidable big purchase and my net worth is just stagnant. People making less and younger than me are saving and investing more which is so cool. How can I do the same?
Any news on vedder price? I’ve heard they didn’t fire anyone during COVID but have also heard it’s a sweatshop. Any insight to their litigation team would be helpful, thanks!
How hard is it to transition from medical device (e.g., neuromodulation) to pharma/biotech?
Booked a short weekend trip in Chicago awhile back for next weekend and I’m wondering how difficult it is to find stuff to do with covid going on. Anyone have any recommendations?
Working in Europe temporarily. Have an option to do Executive MBA, it’s around 70-90k Euros for an year. Another option I have is doing part time PhD in Management. It’s around 35-40k Euros for 4 years. Any thoughts on which one would be more useful? Currently work in a T2 in their digital practice. Had plans of shifting to MBB 3-4 years back but lost interest after
