ZS London compensation and benefits?
Currently my wify's package is 7.5 LPA at Capgemini as SAP ABAP developer and with overall experience of around 5.5ys.She has cleared all technical rounds in Accenture and having HR round in next week.how much she should asks for package?why I'm asking this because she was selected to the same Accenture in 2019 and at that time she asked 80 percent hike and for that reason the profile was kept on hold and eventually joined Infosys at that time

Because they also massively increased unemployment at the same time. The stimulus is probably too early ideally you’d want that check to hit the day things reopen but they decided to do all the big stuff in one hill.
Because our current administration cares about stimulating the economy as a whole, not helping individuals. Also bothers me that’s being called a stimulus package, when in reality the focus shouldn’t be on “stimulating” but rather protecting the economies of the country.

Because it’s a stimulus to try and boost the economy...not unemployment benefits, though they did increase those too.
EY2 that’s my point. The ones receiving the money are less likely to do that. They are going to pay off debt or monthly bills and not stimulate the economy. In all honesty I wouldn’t run out and spend it if I got it either to see how things shake out but once this is over and I feel safe I’d likely spend some or all of it. No matter what you’d see a few weeks to few month lag between end of this crisis and spending but the people receiving it aren’t in the category to likely spend in vs save or spend on debt/bills.
They don’t need it. They are most likely wfh if they have a job and not hourly. Thus they save on gas, car maintenance, gym costs (should be able to get pro rated amount back), day care (watching them yourself or in shifts), misc expenses you would normally spend with things being closed, etc. so either don’t send out as much money and put us in even more debt or give more to the people that need it. Otherwise give it to everyone as people that need it less are more likely to put it back into the economy vs people going to pay utilities and rent. It should really be based on if your job has been effected and if not you can either go online and indicate such or you pay it back next year. Thoughts?
Yes, seriously.
For those receiving unemployment benefits, there will be an extra $600/week (on top of what your state gives you) for 4 months. I’d say that’s pretty good.
Is it cutoff at the amount you made prior to be unemployed? The goal shouldn’t be to over compensate but replace lost wages. If it’s not cutoff that’s just a gross misappropriation by the government
Choice is either to send out the checks based on some criteria (salary, age, alphabetical...) or wait for the GPO to print all of then in a huge multimillion batch and mail at once.
Currently unemployed won't really work since unemployment registration is at the state level, not federal, and to get all the states to report that information in a common interface would take months

One economist I heard said basically you can carpet bomb as big a population as possible with money quickly. Or you can try to make sure it only goes to those who need it based on some idea of fairness and that will take much longer. From an economic standpoint the first option is much better and we all just need to live with the fact it may not be fair for every single person.
Reading OP’s replies, I can’t tell whether they’re mad that those apparently most in need aren’t getting the money or that they and their gf won’t be getting the money because they make too much.
I get why I’m not getting it which is fine even tho we pay for all that so would be nice to see some of it when they do a stimulus check but whatever. Just saying I feel like the group getting it is less likely to spend it in the areas of the economy most hit. Also a bit annoyed bc they just increased unemployment to include an additional 600$ a week or 2,400$ a month on top of what is already being provided. I completely understand why there is unemployment insurance fund but seems like we will paying people more than what they likely would have been making anyways plus then giving largely the same group an addition payment. Seems like a misappropriation if money as you should not get more in unemployment than what you received at your job you lost and if it’s a stimulus payment then all people should get it especially the people who pay so much of the taxes and are probably more likely to spend it. Or for the fact that layoffs will undoubtedly hit all areas so while those who make too much now might be out of a job tomorrow and even tho they pay a lot more in taxes now and probably have been for some time they won’t get that check that could potentially help them down the line. We’re all looking at uncertain times and lots of people had huge amounts of wealth erased. Just seems like a slap in the face to continually want to tax the people already paying most of the taxes even more and then not give them a piece of that back when there is a crisis effecting everyone. A little f’ed up
