Why is the stark market blowing up right now? COVID seems to be getting under control/vaccines making progress, states opening back up? And does everyone see it staying this way or another dip?

What kind of questions have you been asked in interviews? I’m being invited back for a second interview for a Sr. Accountant position. The first one was very conversational.

I recently had an interview with the hiring manager and they did 95% of the talking. It was the weirdest interview I’ve ever had. I didn’t know whether to interrupt and get a question and some comments in or stay quiet and listen. I couldn’t even gauge how it went. Has this happened to you.?
Also on average how many jobs do people typically interview for before they get an offer?

One of my friend is having offer from
Oracle Pune for software developer role in Oracle store team. but he does not have clear idea of the role whether it will be operations, support or development work.

Does anyone know what kind of work is there in store team. Also, is it possible to change the project once we get inside?

Urgent suggestions required...

Asked for a LOA because I just got bad medical news and want time to process & find surgeons (I have to decide between staying in constant pain or being able to have kids one day). HR said it’s not a valid reason & I’ll lose my insurance at the end of the month if I take leave. They want me to use my 5 days of sick time & return to work after. I have an underlying autoimmune issue & need to save my sick days in case of a flare up. Ranting, but a reminder that companies don’t care about anyone

If you wanting a mix of salary increase and work / life benefit increase, what are some things you negotiate for that you now have in your job? Additional pto? Flex time? Other special arrangements? Has any one negotiated periods of time off ( around a month) based on certain objectives met? Was thinking perhaps negotiating unpaid leave for pursuing other interests / family time. Job is in medical IT, Midwest, 10 years. Thank you for looking and appreciate any comments.

EY PAS said that they can’t offer more than 115k for senior associate in Chicago. I find that ridiculously low since accenture t&o is offering people 140k to join as a consultant. It is from my understating that ey associate is equal to analyst and sr analyst at Accenture. Then senior associate is equal to consultant/ sr consultant. What am i missing here?
