Believing India, Brazil and Russia accurately reports cases lol

likefunnysmart

Russia had no COVID deaths but there flu deaths were up way more this year.

We have leadership that doesn’t believe science and “follows their gut” instead of listening to experts. Also, leadership who thinks the outbreak is over exaggerated to make him look bad. Other countries have leaders who listen and actually care about other people and are trying to help. The US has an ego driven narcissist )with other personality disorder traits) more interested in making money for himself, his family and his wealthy friends, as well as winning an election, than what’s best for the country.

likehelpful

I mean the points made could be true (he’s certainly an over sensitive narcissist), but they aren’t relevant to the discussion at hand about recoveries. Just someone who wants to yell orange man bad.

like

I firmly believe that every country has 100% accuracy on total case counts, recovery rates, and follows mask-wearing mandates.

JUST KIDDING!!

Lack of testing. We’re not actually behind in recovery rate, we just haven’t tested people who have recovered, so we can’t count them as “recovered” yet.

likefunny

Curious if this depends on the state as well? In NY they were recommending people get tested. It's free statewide for residents and you can just do a walk-in. People who go into work can get tested every so often as well. Tbh doesn't seem like they're concerned about running out of tests.

Everyone who doesn't die of covid recovers. I know India is helped by the fact that the population is younger - the median age is 28.
Pakistan has largely ignored the virus and is doing better than the US and other countries- their average age is 23.

like

Because people here are irresponsible and spoiled and don’t care. Just go online and look at all the July 4th parties; crowded with no masks...

like

What does this have to do with people recovering from the virus?

my guess is obesity

Aren’t people who didn’t die just counted as “recovered” after a certain amount of days?

HELP my friends! I’ve been invited to a recruiter screen for the initial interview with HR for Global Safety Associate. This job mainly deals with Adverse event/high prescribing meds product complaints. In my current role I deal with on boarding pt & getting patients work done from A-Z till they get on their meds. The only part which is similar is that I’m the main point of contacts for pt so I can report their complaint to Health Canada. How can I convince them I can handle this new job

One of them have been hit with covid and we are suffering in sales. Our director somehow don’t believe in marketing and will not budge to allocate resources to hire a personnel. Our staff are underpaid so there are no incentives for them to go beyond their SOW.

Looking to leave but trying to conceive ( 1 year now and having fertility issue). I am sticking around cause the flexibility is great with me need to see RE and get blood draw. But also concerned I'm just going to end up not leaving if I never get pregnant :( Upcoming year will be a new client for me and I know it'll bring stress. However a new role in industry might not be as easy either and I'll need to prove myself, where as currently I'm already regarded as a high performer and gained trust.

I personally feel that it's absolutely ludicrous the US government is not enforcing or at least asking people to wear masks in healthcare environments like at the pharmacy, doctor's offices, or the hospital. We all wear ours behind the counter but I had a patient come in today WITH covid to pick up her prescription, no mask. I get that she already has it so she isn't worried, but what about the other people around??

My husband basically blames me for not being pregnant yet and routinely says I am a ‘mess’ for not understanding my cycle, even though I am going by what the doctors tell me. I haven’t been stressed by having PCOS, but his constant remarks are really getting to me
