- Present the creative
- 7 rounds of revisions and feedback. Brief changes about 3 times in the meantime.
- Land at original creative with 2 minor edits
Procurement makes getting anything approved like pulling teeth. Yet all the waste comes from the client side so it’s a waste of everyone’s time.
Lack of risk taking. Test everything to death so you end up with the most vanilla idea ever to please focus group participant #7.

I’ve been told that the week spots are set to ship, they pay to keep an editor available and in studio nearly around the clock *just* in case the CMO has changes. It’s insane.
Verizon sucks the life out of everyone. Even post houses will confirm. If you ask “what’s the worst account there is?” they’ll say everyone is bad but there’s a huge gap between Verizon bad and others. I don’t think AT&T for instance is as bad. I don’t think it’s a Telecom thing. (Except someone above said Sprint is worse, so what do I know?!).
Back in the day they used to make us fly to NYC from Boston for in-person status meetings every Monday morning at 9.
