Chances for HBS/GSB? URM, 3.8 engineering from large state school, 720 GMAT, will have 3 YOE in consulting and on track for manager promotion by the time of applying. I’d say ECs are ok, but recommendations are strong. Already took gmat twice and don’t think i can feasible raise my score to match the school averages.
I’m applying for a new apartment to live on my own, but my current roommate wants me to put a fake landlord phone number on the application so my landlord doesn’t find out. (We’re in a month to month
I’m hoping to move to a specific city and I’ve been applying to positions for which I’ve been a good fit there, but with little luck. Do you think putting my actual out of state address is hurting me?
Those of you in a committed relationship, how do you plan to make it work? And did that factor into what schools you're applying to?
I was so good and confident when I was interviewing with consulting firms. Now that I am here for something close to two months, I am really struggling. Struggling to piece together coherent questions and thoughts. Struggling to speak up. Team structure is weird - no one has the bandwidth to address dumb questions, feel like I’m lost without good guidance. Overall this is not good for anyone wanting to be successful in consulting. Any thoughts or advice? Is this the initial phase, gets better?
Currently an Associate at Booz Allen in Consulting & Mission Operations,l was contacted by a recruiter at PwC Advisory, interviewed and was offered a Sr. Associate position. Pros/Cons?
Have an interview for full time over zoom and it says dress code is business smart. So tie or no tie? No clue what that means
Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.
Any advice on case interviews? Can honestly say that I suck at interviews in general but that doesn't translate to my performance at work. I get great reviews but when interviews come, I suck
Looking for study buddy for case interviews this week! I have a case interview with ZS this Friday and would love to work with another fish thats in a similar spot!!! Available most of the week! If you know anyone, please share!! Thanks
*recent graduate* Whenever I ask an employer why I didn’t get the job or get to the second step in the interview process, they never respond. So, I’m assuming my lack of experience (I never did an internship in school🤦♀️ ) or portfolio is the problem.
What’s the best way to return to law after taking a much needed break from it? I became seriously burnt out and was able to take some time away from working but now it is time for me to renter the workforce. Unsure how to approach this on resume, in cover letters, interviews, etc.
Applied for Blackstone’s mid-year analyst class about a month ago. I completed both the pymetrics games and the one way interview, but haven’t heard anything since. Just wanted to check in with others in the same situation. P.S. : campus recruiting said that decisions should ‘come soon’
How long do you wait before you hear back from a job opportunity? 2 interviews completed and they liked me a lot, they said they’d be in touch but it’s been about a week.
Have L6 level interview for Amazon consumer group. This is a security compliance industry specialist role. What TC range should I expect? Austin location
Got a 44 V / 44 Q on a recent GMAT practice exam. I was a finance major at a reputable state school and have mostly A’s (and a few B’s) in my quant heavy courses. If I score similarly on the real exam, is the high V enough to offset the lower Q? Applying to T10. I’m a white female if it matters and am trying do either consulting or tech (i.e. nothing super quant intensive).
Waiting to hear back after final round interviews this week...not gonna be able to get anything done 😩
Just realized I forgot to put my minor on my resume (Business) and only listed my major, but the minor is on my transcript which is included in all my applications. I’ve interviewed for some spots and waiting to hear back but now I’m scared that this oversight will cost me😭
Anyone here work at Coinbase? I have a second round interview for the Compliance Tools & Data Analytics role and was wondering if anyone could give any insight as it will be a Tech Screening. TIA! Coinbase

Anyone has an idea of the salary range for Senior Consultant for HR Consulting - Deloitte UK, EY UK, PWC UK and KPMG UK?
I'm ~7 months into my new role at Accenture. During the time I accepted the offer, I also had one from Slalom. Accenture hasn't been that great. I'm not doing the work I would like and there's just a bunch of other BS on the side for me to deal with. Sat on the bench for my first 4 months and then they put me on a staff aug project...I feel like I made the wrong decision. (Cont)
Did anyone make a transition from being an MBB data scientist to a FAANG data scientist? 1. How did you differentiate your value proposition? Given the solid technical bar, does consult and business skills create an advantage? 2. How do you feel about the change? 3. Any tips on the preparation process?
I’ve been in an entry level position for 2.5 years. I am not pushing for promotion. If I’m hitting utilization targets, am I at risk of layoff from being in this role too long? I work for a huge firm
Ever since I started working in tax, it's just not been possible to rest. I've taken time off, but my mind has constantly been worried about work and been feeling anxious. I've been feeling drained and just totally fed up. I'm seeing work pile up, but I have little to no motivation to keep doing it. How do people disconnect when they take PTO? What's the point of resting, if you're gonna be immediately tired after coming back. I feel this damages morale so much in the long run.
I’m a rookie who joined McK out of undergrad a month ago. Have never done anything with points/rewards for hotels/airlines. Where do I start? Make accounts for Marriott and all the airlines? Thanks :)
Hi All, Say you have an offer for Senior Test Engineer and SDET (not senior). Compensation is same. Both the companies are good. Given the narrowing boundaries between testing and dev, which position is better in the long run? I thought it'd be SDET. But, I'd like to have expert/experienced opinion.
Meeting with partner to discuss all these world events happening (minority background). Any good ideas/questions to raise awareness for my group?
How do you determine if your salary/compensation is reasonable? I’m a 5th year associate in a major market.
Any folks that are familiar with Wayfair Europe here? I am keen to know more about the comp, culture and growth.

Does anyone else still subscribe to the paper versions of newspapers? I loved reading the newspaper with my parents as a kid, and I've continued this ritual with my own children.
Would you leave a Senior Consultant role at EY (PI) for a Consultant role at Deloitte (S&O)? Offer on the table, 20% salary bump.
Hello Fishes, I am super confused on where to join: Skill: SAP SD YOE:4.8 PWC India & Deloitte USI is offering same CTC only difference being Deloitte is offering joining bonus 50k more than PWC. Where should I join considering SAP SE HANA projects since both are big 4
Thought I would share a very special sub. Watch belongs to a business associate of my father
My wife is actively looking for entry level/associate Salesforce positions. Can someone help with the referral? She’s has 3 years of OPT remaining. Any help is greatly appreciated
Question for the folks here that have recently gone through the visitor visa process for India: what am I missing?? I created the visa application form online and submitted it back in October for my dad and younger brother but is there a timeframe for when we hear back? The site is a cluster and I can’t figure out what I need to do in the meantime or do I just wait to hear back? Is there a step by step somewhere that someone can lead me to? Thank you and I owe you one!
