Why people get married if the chance of long lasting happiness is so low?

How do you get over someone you never dated? I know this person is not right for me but I can’t get it off my head

Relationship is going pretty well apart from my partner being pretty unhealthy… I like to eat clean in general but she doesn’t like veggies and I’m a little fearful for our future family if she’s just encouraging them to “eat what you feel like” is there anyway to help change this behaviour? Any suggestions? It’s not like I never go eat fast food or what not, just that our frequency of consuming desserts has increased exponentially after we started dating and she doesn’t exercise either

Anyone here have a selfish sibling who only cares about themselves and sucks up to parents? But treats you like shit? Mine is polite and jovial in front of others, especially my parents, but wouldn't lift a finger if I was dying. As the older one, it pisses me off because I've done so much for them in our younger years but now get treated like crap since he is the baby and the favorite. I would have preferred we had got a dog and I kept the other half of the inheritance. So frustrated.

I’m graduating next year and I don’t want anyone to attend my graduation. I’ve been getting so much crap for quitting my job in tax and going back to school. It’s these same people that will be so happy for me with crocodile smiles and at the same time giving me a hard time while I was in school. I felt he made decisions aligned with his life vision and would ultimately not give enough room for me to incorporate mine. Has anyone else’s husband just never really given them complements? My husband refuses to because he says it would make it meaningless when he says them (so he doesn’t say I look nice in case on the ~5 times he says it a year it would be ‘watered down’). I don't know if this is a symptom of quarantining but I'm just bored by the day to day banter we share about our kids and family. Looking for some perspective: we just got a brand new $2,000 glass top 78" dining table. I asked my husband to please use a table cloth when he uses that table for d&d with his friends to avoid scratches and the loud dice on the table. He got upset that I "don't let him enjoy our stuff," that I "hate the sound of him having fun," and he says I am being unreasonable.
