We should encourage more peeing on ads

like

Damn just when I was about to release "Take a dump on this ad and if you have IBS you get discount on a toilet". They beat me to the punch.

like

I can’t wait until someone brings in a totally piss-soaked piece of paper in to IKEA. Also, how are they going to get rid of them? If it has pee on it, shouldn’t it go into a special trash can for human waste?

like

Let’s be honest you can hate on this ad but it’s innovative and different and gets people talking... isn’t that our job? (And the whole discount would theoretically be for anyone who part of the free IKEA Family rewards program - because that’s all your getting is the “Family” price )

like

No discount if you are buying for a baby shower I guess

like

Who cares when you’re on stage for a print ad?

like

Just kidding. I spent like $800 on a crib for my little dude.

like

Peeing on ads seems a good trend for 2018

like

Baby shower. If it were up to me, my baby would be sleeping in a puppy kennel.

like

Just got two for my incoming twins at my shower this weekend. Kinda wish I got to pee on something for them though.

@leo1, see ‘Burning Stores'

like

Seems like the science would be expensive to put in every magazine - free pregnancy tests for everyone! Only a stunt for Adweek, not realistic.

like

Agreed FCB1. Don't hate what you ain't. Still not peeing on an ad though, that's for the birds (see what I did there?)

like

Oh hmm I didn't think of baby shower presents, assumed a crib would be a very personal choice but I see that. Weird

like

Oh yes. This is awesome. If this catches wind with the masses, there will be peed on paper brought to store to get the discount. 🤣

like

@SAD2 the article says they only put it in one big name relevant magazine. Must have been mostly for PR

like

So interactive...

It's also kind of like a free pregnancy test.... soooo there's that layer to think about.

This is awesome!

...but it's sorta weird in that (even beyond baby showers) there are lots of reasons non-pregnant people would buy a crib. A parent or couple (gay or straight) adopting. A grandparent expecting sleepovers. A dad mid-separation. Foster parents. Even beyond the thought of bringing in a pee-soaked ad into the store for a discount, it seems like there were a few things that weren't quite thought through here.

Moms, both husband and I are nearing the end of our parental leave. We live in a two bedroom in NYC. We are thinking of hiring a nanny. The plan is that I would work from one room and husband would work from another room. We can move the changing table and pack n play in the living room, and the nanny and the baby can hang in the living room. Does this sound like a good plan?

How do you deal with draining family members? My wonderful mother takes on a LOT to keep the family life running back home (across the country with matters that can't really be helped from afar). She's stressed and every time we chat it's just an endless swell of negativity and problems - we all have our own issues and just having to listen can drain me for the week. She blows through boundaries because she needs to vent and I'm not sure how to protect my energy and still be supportive. Ideas?

My husband and I are planning on starting a family in the next year or two. I enjoy working, so I don’t expect to be a stay at home mom. As of now, neither is my husband. At what age(or months) did you decided to bring your child to day care. Who watch your child before then? Our family does not live close by.

Went in for a scan yesterday because I was having spotting and cramping at 12 weeks. The OB saw fluid behind the baby’s neck and is referring us to see a high risk doctor immediately. NIPT was negative. I’m panicking. Have any of you been through this?
