Has anyone left PwC while they still had an outstanding Educational Support Program repayment agreement? What is the repayment process like? Am I required to pay back the amount in full the day I leave the firm or is there the ability to do a repayment agreement? I’m looking at new opportunities and would like to have my new firm take on the amount of the tuition agreement ($14,000) but don’t know how much that might limit my options.

It’s time for me to move on from my back office/CBS job at EY. I’ve been able to get through to recruiter and hiring manager screening round with FAANG employers and some tech companies but never beyond that. How can I differentiate myself when I’m probably also up against our client facing colleagues in consulting. I have about 12 years experience (7 at EY doing the same thing).

To cash out on the severence before starting a new role.
How about you?

D2 - No one ever said it was legally required. The question was whether anyone who is fired receives severance. The answer is unequivocally “it’s possible”.

Official reason I was 5 minutes late every Tuesday and Thursday because I had a class that got out right before.
The real reason, the shop I worked at changed hands and the new owner didn’t like that I wasn’t gargling his koolaid with no questions.

When I was 20, for watching p*rn in the office. It was a hard conversation.

The opportunities we pass on in life!
For my first role after undergrad before I went back for grad school my manager let me go and he told me it was because I do not belong there and that my interests and aspirations are a lot more than what he can give me and that he wanted people who were content staying there without promotions for 10 plus years. Then he let me go and I was off to school and then I made double that salary after that and now many years later I see he and his team are exactly where they were when I was fired nearly a decade ago. He was right and I am grateful for the opportunity I had there and I found all the growth and pay increases I wanted elsewhere haha

Fell asleep in the office multiple times during work.
It was an on campus job and I was working 40 hrs / week elsewhere + 18 credit hours of classes
Honestly sort of surprised I was *not* fired from my first job. One of my friends was, though. First, she was creating full on fake rewards sign ups instead of just very aggressively signing real people up like the rest of us. She also claims to this day she didn't realize the issue, but she bought something with the store discount at our store, then went all the way to another store to return the item without a receipt, and got full credit (so basically paid $70, ended up with a store credit for $100). She did this 3 times. Was finally fired for, of all things, refusing to stay until closing during the closing shift because customers kept browsing and it was annoying her. 😂 Good friend, terrible terrible employee
I worked at a mall kiosk and one day I played sims on my phone for my entire 8 hr shift. They fired me the next day lol
Had cameras around the kiosk. I knew about it and knew they would see it. I was a 19 year old with no fucks
Well, I lied about my credentials
Real reason: Refused to go to an out of town office party that conflicted with some long- standing personal plans. Party was on a Saturday. Thank God they fired me or I may never have moved on to a more suitable path.
In one of my first office job, my friend was fired for not wearing socks in the Summer under moccasins shoes, he was told in front of all office that his look is very unprofessional. He was too stylish for that place anyway.
I was a waiter in college, I put in for time off to go to Acapulco for New Years, it was approved, and then a few days prior to the trip I was told that everyone has to work on NYE. I went on the trip anyway, but was never put back on the schedule. I filed with unemployment, the restaurant fought my claim, I was awarded wrongful termination w/ a few hundred dollars per month for a year, which was all I needed while in college.
