Why won’t the M&A people spend 3 minutes talking to the antitrust/regulatory clearance people before promising the client we’ll be able to close in a week? This will take another 30 days at least

The pathological need to please 🙃

like

Because we all know if we don’t close in a week they will take their business elsewhere 🙄

(That’s sarcasm)

That’s what rationale people would do. In reality the partners will tell everyone they can’t go back because the deal (which probably isn’t a good one to begin with) NEEDS to close by a particular date and as a result everyone needs to deliver on the unrealistic schedule they agreed to (that likely could have been adjusted originally).

Many are wondering what’s wrong with ClearView. The problem is straightforward, if the way ClearView is organizing a project such that when one analyst or senior analyst (22 to 24 year old) fails at something, stakes are high enough that an project’s fate depends on it, then ClearView is putting way too much responsibility on its Junior staff, not promoting and severely underpaying them. Maybe it’s time ClearView brought in a consulting firm to ease its org problems

Telco PMs, how do you call that type of project in which you manage the End-To-End deployment? I mean from planning the electric connections for a servers rack, engineering the network, the cabling and devices installation, setting up the link (and everything in between)?

English is not my first language and I'm having trouble coming up with what we call "Llave en Mano" in Spanish... or is it just End-To-End? My mind is fried and is only Wednesday.

Thanks!

What's the most effective way for a small RIA to recruit FAs who have a few years experience, want to break away from large/corporate firms? I'm a $70M fee-only (commissions for insurance) independent RIA with a generous comp schedule that enables FAs to own their own book while they grow. As the owner, my focus is to help FAs succeed; as a firm, our focus is on client service and helping them succeed. I can afford a small salary, but not benefits. I'm especially interested in female FAs.

I quit. I was respectful. Thankfully, every person I have told has been so nice, and I wasn't immediately bounced out by my leadership (which has happened), but I have been surprised by my own bittersweet tears. If they actually cared, why didn't they say so sooner? I gave so much, and I was consumed by this organization. I invested in them, but my investment and dedication were not reciprocated, which is why I ever even entertained leaving. I don't know why it hurts, but it really, really does.
