Need some advice - been at the D for a year and have been on the same implementation project for over a year. Have a technical background and am thinking of starting to look for exits to industry but also am curious what strategy projects are and if I would be interested in the work. Is it worth networking onto a strategy project at the D or should I just continue to look for industry exists and then go b school and then try for MBB/T2 ?
Has anyone ever actually used the word synergy in a client deck and it didn’t get immediately rejected?

It’s well known that the difference in work culture in Europe vs US is quite different. Can you comment on some of the differences when it comes to work/life balance, competitiveness, client dynamics
Is anyone in Marbella? On a project in Spain and spending weekend here, but on my own and very bored 😑
Currently live in the DMV and don’t anticipate going back to work or on client site through the end of the year. My lease is up next month and my parents live in upstate NY. Should I just put my things in storage and stay with them until I have to be back in the city? Is anyone still leaving their respective cities?
Question! My client wants me to pull together an analysis on a competitor. I am thinking I might book a call with the competitors sales team and pose as a consultant working with a confidential client who wants their product in order to get more insights about how they operate. I know this isn’t illegal and I am not signing a NDA - is there a reason i shouldn’t do this?
Question for lawyers out there—I’m a licensed attorney getting my llm in tax. A firm I’m going to intern at wants me to use my personal computer to access/work on client files etc. I’ve never worked anywhere they wanted me to use my personal computer for work. This makes me nervous, am I crazy for being worried about this?
How are Ogilvy and McGarry Bowen these days, creative wise, client retention, good “place” to work, work-life balance, etc.?
Hi guys, I am due to start working at EY soon within audit. I will be commuting to the office by train when in the Birmingham office. This will be from Leicester. Usually if a commute is about 1.5 hours+, Mazars authorises hotels. Is there a similar policy at EY? When not in the office I would prefer to drive to clients, not sure if me being in Leicester affects whether they will tell me to suck up an extended commute? Would a mileage claim be from the office to the client? Thanks!

This is for ACN fish or ex acn fish. The project I'm on (more like a staff aug but we're there to support the client deliver their internal project) isn't doing well. I'm new to ACN - well, big consulting in general, so trying to understand what that means for us, and for me? (Also, for context - I'm one of the 4 SM's on this engagement (it's a large client and we have a 10+ team)). Continued in comments below...
As a staff on the consulting side, does anyone else find it awkward to join a zoom call with the client before the manager/sm joins in?
Now client slide and got given a draft report from a popular consulting firm to review. First slide of actual content ive got over 15 text boxes with comments. I've become 'that' client.

I have a (I think) smallish renovation project that I want done by a top notch contractor. How to make this job look attractive so they’ll take it?
Frustrated with work as we all are. Single mom insurance defense litigation for mid sized NYC based firm. Base salary is 136k nominal bonuses. Struggling to meet work demands (deadlines, billable hours) and then also struggling financially. Just curious if what I am making is going rate, am of counsel after taking 6 years off of practice 10+ years practicing. Thanks!
I've been passed up for promotion. I know that if my mental health had been better this past year, I probably would have been promoted. Spent too many days just trying to survive rather than excel. 😡
Plan on moving to Dallas Texas next year. Currently with Deloitte MTS team and will be a senior at that time. Im wondering how the culture of the office is there? Also, how is the culture of the other firms. Im not opposed to moving firms. Just finished working three 80 hour weeks, so that would be a big plus to find a team where that is not expected on a regular basis!
WFH with a kid is making me less productive, so I end up working 30% longer hours to make up for it. But the longer I work, I get diminishing returns in productivity, so I have to work longer still. At this point, my mental stamina is just worn out. How do I fix this?
What should I expect when trying to exit into a more competitive (geographical) market? My home office is in a developing country (think non-EU/US, G20), I’m looking at Biz Ops/PM roles in tech in Western Europe. How much should I expect to be able to leverage my consulting/McKinsey background in this context?
Anyone else struggling with wfh during busy season? I have no way to understand productivity relative to other new hires and feel like i am under utilized
Recently got sober and am applying to business schools. I’m concerned it’ll be tough to make friends/networks without drinking or doing drugs. Anyone have any insight on this?
Has anyone who lateraled to Littler from a firm that pays market or close to market been able to negotiate a salary match? What about a signing bonus?

Anyone familiar with American Cybersystems Inc. (ACS)? Acsicorp.com is the site. Interested to hear any Data points....They reached out to me but I've never heard of them.
Any ideas for small gifts for the children of a close colleague I’m planning to visit - 2 boys and 1 girl, ranging from 4-9? No idea what is reasonable that would be a hit for them and also sanctioned by mom.
What is the best interview slot to request when a company is interviewing multiple people across two days?
