Why would investors (retail or institutional) place money with insurance co asset management arms eg PGIM instead of traditional players like Blackrock?

It's institutional. Or very rich people with trusts I think. Pgim would let you buy into non public securities and reits. Could be wrong. I interviewed with both companies. My last company had a pgim managed 401k option and all of it was private equity stuff and commercial buildings, unlisted equities.

My example was referring to insurance asset managers which PGIM is. It's like how big enough ones manage their assets inhouse. Pru being an example. They also derive earnings from managing others' assets

Serious question: Why’d we have to migrate our network logins to FCB Health in addition to our emails? Couldn’t we have just started listing our emails as “@fcbhealth” but logging in as “@FCB”?

Been looking into purchasing tBills on treasury direct. Near as I can tell they would currently pay ~3% for a 52 week term which is roughly .5 to 1 % more than a cd for equivalent term. So…why isn’t everyone buying these instead or CDs or Hysa? What am I missing?
