Hi Sharks,
I had first round of CITI interview this week and today I got a mail asking for documents submission. Does that mean this had only one round and I have cleared that? Generally documents are asked only when we clear all the rounds. Who has given CITI interview please let me know. Thanks..Citi

If Havas made this work we’d all laugh and call it terrible.
Wieden makes great work 80% of the time. This is the 20%.
Don’t fool yourself.
Can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic, but ragu/bertolli, carls jr, and coca cola brands come to mind.
Came here to hate on it just because— but then I watched it. So simple and so good. Maybe Wieden’s special sauce (no pun intended...jesus) is that they figured out how to get their clients not to jam a million RTBs in their ads.

It’s...fine?
I mean... it’s better than what they had. I wouldn’t say wonders. If they pulled out some BK level creative, then I’d get it.
BK stuff is purely aimed at Cannes.
That’s it. Never heard anyone in the real world talk about it...except Mouldy, a little. But I couldn’t tell you what the brand voice is.
Wieden are masters at that. Longevity and brand love.
Yeah it’s some nice writing. It’ll be a year or two I think before they have some game changing work, McD is a slow moving beast.
The work has definitely gotten better though, cheers to them.
agree. getting a behemoth like mcds to have atleast the beginnings of a voice is a small battle won.

Okay I just watched it annnnd I feel like anyone could’ve made this spot? I always wondered why they used Brian Cox considering his most well known role right now is being Logan Roy, a billionaire. All I can think about is a billionaire selling McDonalds which... feels odd

Um his best known role is Captain O’Hagen, thank you very much.

This work is completely mediocre. Maybe sub par.
Arby’s did the same thing better with we have the meats. So did high life. And about a thousand other brands.

Tbh I do that Shake Shack
I feel like these spots get dumped on a lot, but I find these spots to work really well and genuinely make me want the food. No grandiose promises, no gimmicks, no stock footage-esque groups of people in fedoras, just plain and simple food. The tone feels right and relevant and the food looks great without it being overly styled

You’re spot on. It’s just good solid work (on a massive business that will sustain your agency).
Everyone criticizing this needs to realize a better benchmark is Verizon or State Farm or Comcast, not BK stunts.
It’s so hard to do well on those brands but they can pay for your whole agency.

Also, there’s some really good understanding of culture in these spots. The mood of them is a nice response to the world today.
I enjoy the restraint
Yes. This. Every client wants to fill everything to the brim nowadays.

Agreed. Total rip off of Miller High Life.
Arby’s?
MCDONALDS. WE HAVE THE NAPKINS.
Miller’s High life + Arby’s - Kling = McDonald’s
