Dr. Gary Markoff. Office is located midtown east but the practice delivers at mt.sinai. And they won’t see you before week 7. Delivered both my kids.
Agree with others. With my 3 I’ve never been seen before 8 weeks and only received two ultrasounds each time (8 weeks and 20 weeks). Ob felt others were unnecessary outside of that.
Dr Jin at Weill Cornell. She’s been great for me

How does an OBGYN upsell?
Thanks, may be I am overreacting - but I don’t feel OK going to a doctor who values money over health of their patients.
At 5 weeks pregnant they OBGYNs over here (Bay Area) dont even see you. Technically - they say - your wife had a missed period and first appointments are 9weeks onwards.
Carnegie hill OB GYN. Dr Lam or Dr Goodstein
Second Dr. Jin at Cornell. She was great for me and have heard similar experiences from others
Mostly random tests like ultrasound every 2 weeks. Apart from cost the major worry is the safety. We don’t see any reason to expose mother and the baby to ultrasounds every 2 weeks, unless medically required.
Every two weeks for the entire pregnancy, or just in the beginning? About the extra tests, I feel like ues is target market for people willing to spend money on unnecessary things. When my doctor raised them, I declined, and she moved on no problem, no pressure. Also fwiw, an ultrasound tech mentioned to me that "most" of the women she sees are considered high risk, largely bc age>35, so I imagine some neighborhood practices probably go about things as high risk being standard practice. But you always have the right to opt out of anything. For sure find a doctor that isn't pushy about it. Good luck!
Agree with D1. they will not usually see you until closer to 8-9 weeks to confirm pregnancy. Can't even see anything at 5 weeks on ultrasound.
Sean O Henry. He’s the best!
I’ve also found there’s room for negotiation. Since I’ve had an issue free pregnancy, I’ve negotiated an extra week in between appointments and extended travel time.
