Wife is a US citizen and I’m a Canadian citizen. We both live in Canada. She can cross the US land border from Canada because US citizens are exempted from the travel restrictions. Can I cross with her (from Canada to US) as her spouse?

Pretty sure you're allowed to fly, not sure land border

Try asking in consulting bowl, more US ppl there

Technically you are not allowed to cross with her. I have one friend in the same situation who was allowed to cross, and another who was turned away. Different days, different border crossings. If you want to ensure success, you need to fly.

like

Yeah it was Queenston-Lewiston. My guess is that it’s less about the crossing and more about the individual border guard, but who knows.

like

You can call the Canadian border where you plan on crossing and ask them. If their phone number is not listed, call the US border crossing (all those are listed) and ask them to give you the Canadian border crossing's number.

Call the border. They know the latest rules based on spousal privileges. Canadians cannot drive across the US border yet

Technically you’re not allowed to cross by land but anecdotally I’ve heard that it’s fine. Like others said, it all depends on the border agent. Your best bet would be to fly over.

Technically I am silver so they should but also I didn’t meet this years requirements so I could see why they wouldn’t too. Confused by this.

I'm getting ready to accept an offer at a new agency, but what I really want is to go in-house. I had 6 very positive interviews at a co. but lost out by a hair. They said they're growing & would keep me in mind for future relevant openings. Is it worth pinging that co's recruiter to let her know I'm considering a role at a new agency & ask if they expect any openings soon? Feels unlikely, but I'd hate to start a new job and then get a call from the company I actually want to work for.
