DAC1 is right. You need to systemically test each component before gambling your $100. Cables, modem, wired connections to router, your own laptop, etc.
could be your router. Could be that the sun shines on your modem at exactly the same time every day and causes it to overheat. Or whatever.

Generally agree with the idea of testing each piece.
However, it's not the biggest deal to buy a new router you'd want from a place like Target which has an expansive return policy. If the new router doesn't fix it, you can always return it.
Just went through this - Netgear is extremely disappointing. I switched to an ASUS and it’s been magic. Highly recommend!

Get the Orbi WiFi 6, it’s pricy and I debated it for so long but after doing it, wow, so worth it. I’m annoyed with myself I waited so long.
It's very possible your incoming internet is the problem. Could be a loose connection, casing, etc that's causing issues
I have the cheapest net gear one can get wired in (modem only, no Wi-Fi, router disabled) that’s supported by Xfinity. I then have that hooked up to Orbi mesh that i use as the router for wired connections as well as for distributing Wi-Fi across the home (1 base, 2 satellites). Never had an issue. In the future I plan to add one extra satellite to cover the backyard area.
