Will a typo in a thank you email after an interview mean you will pass on the candidate?

I have done with the technical round for Business analyst credit risk today and got selected and tommorow is my managerial round with socgen. What questions i can expect frm them technical or normal discussion round? Please answer

I applied for a role in Accenture. Gave the skill assessment test and also the technical interview. After the interview, the HR called within one week and asked for the details and expected CTC. I gave the required information. But after that the portal is still now showing as Interview/Interviewing. On checking with the person I got referral, I got to know that they are saying that I haven't attended my skill assessment. There might be any glitch. What should I do as of now?

Maybe this is the wrong platform for this, but to me the whole virtual interview process is so fake to me. Granted virtual can never REALLY take the place of in person interviews. The interviewer will say “yeah you did great” I think you’ll be a great fit here “……then ghosts you for a long time. All the fake questions. All the “requirements” that won’t equal a good employee. I just wish ppl would be real.

Round or exact numbers on banners/LPs? I was curious about this since in negotiations for example or pricing it's better to have the exact number. But if you have a case study, for example, is it better to say "Client X increased their revenue to 1,000,000 ARR" instead of "Client X increased their revenue to 987,500 ARR" ? Anyone has seen any impact on conversion rates?

Hey all, 3rd party recruiter reached out to me about a job. We had interview which I think went well. I did not give my salary expectations, but the recruiter provided the hiring budget.

After sending resume, I am now being asked my current income. Seems expectation is ~20-25% comp increase when you change companies. Effectively it would be a promotion, but the budget would be significantly more than 25%.

Do I inflate my current comp? My wife said she had to find a paystub for her job.

US immigration question. Green card interview date was cancelled in March 2020. It’s been a whole year of just waiting for a reschedule date, so the I-485 is transferable (e.g. to another state, another employer). Has anyone transferred their i-485 to another employer? What was that process like? Would my process start from the interview phase? How did you prove that the next job was in the same category? I was recently offered a Zoom interview. The school had 10 interview slots for me to choose from. Three were one day this week and the rest are next week. I chose the first time slot available. Should I have waited until one of the last slots so I was fresher on their mind when choosing a candidate? I am just sitting here stressing out until I here something. I have a friend who has been at 4 firms in 6 years. She wants me to refer her to my firm (a v25) but I actually don’t think she’s a great atty and substantively isn’t experienced in the area she wants to work (wants to do tech trans but had experience in trademark prosecution and ip lit). Do I just not submit her? I would hate to work with her.

I started at a v100 firm in NY 6 months ago from a regional firm in the transactions group. Since work has been slow I haven’t had too many opportunities to do good work for partners but I feel I have when given the chance.

However, one partner who is notoriously difficult has given me a number of assignments and is an extreme micromanager and know it all. Now when I get an email from him my stomach drops as nothing positive ever comes out of it. Does anyone have advice on coping with this?

Hey all - first year associate here… I’ve met my hours requirement for this year (requirement is 1900 and am currently at around 2050 with billable hours - approx. 2160 with non billable admin hours) and I am just tired. Is it okay to just “disappear” during the holidays (thanksgiving week, week of Christmas) and let partners and senior associates know I am not available? At this point I don’t care about making more money - I just want to sleep, read a good trashy book, and cuddle with my dog.

Im a junior and I get a lot of random please run redlines, please send documents from the system at 8pm, 10pm, etc, and they expect me to respond right away (which is fine because I'm home and its an easy task). I usually stay on to check emails until 10pm-12am. BUT when we go back to office, how will we handle those random tasks that require immediate attention? What if im in the middle of my commute? Do we just not go home until late? Will the expectation to be on 24 7 relax a bit?

What was your approximate savings rate as a first year and what’s your net worth now? Would be nice to also know how many years you’ve been in biglaw, loans you started out with, whether you stuck to your savings rate/spending habits, had kids and when, etc.

Another hours post — I’ve been so slow this year. I hate it. I’ve asked for work and pick up projects here and there but the group generally isn’t busy. I’m annualizing at around 1700. Last year I billed 2100. I’m concerned how this is going to impact my reviews. And in general just concerned about wasting a year not really learning much or being valuable. I actually prefer being busy and this is kind of torture. Might even start looking to lateral if things don’t pick up soon. Thoughts?
