Chase Sapphire Preferred or Citi Premier

I love the Chase Sapphire Preferred card. It is really great.

Chase Sapphire Reserve, DM if you want a referral code

The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card is a great option for most travelers when it comes to ease of use and robust rewards. It's the perfect card for people who lead busy lives because you can earn 2x miles on every transaction and there are no bonus categories to remember.

DM for referral to Venture X. Annual fee is $395 but you get back $400 and additional benefits on top of that. Current referral promo is worth $750

The Chase Sapphire Preferred is a good one. Dm me if you want a referral code 😊

Capital One venture and Amex plat for sure. What credit card do you have right now?

I keep getting contract offers on LinkedIn (think self-employed consultant). The rates seem really good ($120-$150/hr). I have around 5 years exp and a CISSP. I’m highly considering leaving big4 to become a contractor/self-employed consultant. From a risk perspective I’m young and have no kids and low debt.
Anyone did it? Any feedback?

Hi Recruiters,
Let’s talk cover letters.
What do you think makes a good one? Length? Content? What should definitely be in there and definitely be left out?
What’s the biggest mistake you see people make?
Who is actually reading them? You? The department heads?
Bonus points if you can give insight into the way this works with the Creative Department. (I’m a Copywriter.)

I’m looking to move my mom locally to take care of her in just over a year. She wants to live alone so I’m trying to figure out best options. So far im leaning towards buying her a small place so I don’t have to sink money into renting her a place and can at least get some equity. But would love perspective from others about best financial options for someone in my position

I am hesitating to take lead role. But for my experience (8 YOE) I will have to take up that role at least in my next switch.

Could you please suggest me how can I come out of this fear. I am afraid of taking lead role because of below things.

1. Taking ownership for entire team deliverables.
2. Had to attend every requirement call and as well as technical review calls. (When BA is not good, need to provide acceptance criteria points).
3. Providing and justifying resource/work estimates.

Curious to know people’s planning systems. I’m a paper planner at heart, but in this practice, there’s so many tasks and sub tasks for each client matter and each task may be in various points of completion (to do, waiting on, in process, etc.). I’ve toyed with excel sheets, word docs, paper planning, Trello, Notion, etc. and nothing seems to ‘stick.’ Thank you!

I have a client looking to have a bookkeeper come into his office 4 hours a day and do very basic entry level quickbooks, open mail, print checks, prepare bank deposits in the north hills of pittsburgh. Would anyone be interested??

For anyone that moved to the US a bit later in life (early 30s), do you feel like you are financially behind retirement now by United States standards?

My home country offers free health care, education, affordable living etc and now i’m in the US the only way I think I’ll ever catch up for retirement is by making Partner salary one day but still living like I’m on a Manager salary to save.

Plus on a visa we cannot have other income. This is going to be a long game of catch up.

My best friend took a year off work and just traveled around South America with just a backpack and duffle bag of essentials. He spent about $5 to $10 a night at local hostels and food costs cheaper at local restaurants and shops. He spent roughly $500 a month on room and board. Aside from activities like bungee jumping or live sports events, most of the other activities costs little to nothing. Debating on saving up and just escape for a bit just like that.
