Hi,
My wife got an offer from PS for Graphic Designing job.
Designation - Senior Associate Process Solution Level 1
But there is a clause of end date and I am afraid that once this period is over they will fire her.
Is this a standard practice in PS?
HR and Director have assured her that this is a practice in PS and she will be converted into Full Time Employee after this period.
Publicis Sapient
Should she join?

You can do in lieu of travel and apply the money that would go to travel to a hotel in the client city instead
Sign up for the hotel, airline and car rental rewards. Points come in handy for personal travel.
I met a guy at training once who was traveling non stop so he got rid of his apartment moved all his stuff into storage and would just stay at client city most weekends. If he ever came home would just use some points on hotel for night or two. Have to imagine he was saving damn near every dime he made
I m taking the liberty of pushing some boundaries here. If you are willing to go through the trouble, dump your stuff in storage, carry a decent amount of clothes, and have the hotel store the big bag for you. Leave the rest with friends and family and get rid of the rental. If you are in a big city, consider Airbnbing the place.
If you're unable to get rid of the rental and aren't Airbnbing it, get rid of the internet (get a hotspot from EY considering you are going to be on road for 5 months). No need for any groceries, not even milk (my friend did that). Use alternate travel and see other places. If you come back home, do meals at Chipotle/ Subway/ Qdoba etc. As healthy as it gets and cheap.
Get the Starbucks app, and use it for daily "breakfast". You may end up saving some money from daily reloads, adds up.
Absolutely agree with the advice on loyalty points. If possible even get the hotel CC (Marriott or SPG).
If your doing team lunches daily, you potentially can save most of the salary!
Pool your travel to maximize your points. Book last flight home on Friday to keep that dinner in policy
Since when does pwc pay for weekend stays unless they’re required? ^
Oo nice. Wish I traveled more
Why are they making you travel on Friday's very for 5 months...don't know why you couldn't do remote on Fridays?
Stay at hotels with concierge lounges, which you can get in <8 weeks of travel if you’re clever, and grab food/snacks to bring to the office for part of your lunch
And to E3’s point, find ways to buy work food with loyalty programs that give you free food you can redeem on the weekends. Starbucks for sure, Subway used to, sweetgreen and other big chains usually have something
Okay as someone who travels 80-100%, I personally don’t think 5 months of travel is enough to give up your place, especially considering lease but out costs, storage locker fee, moving costs/hassle, etc. Some ways I saved money : don’t buy groceries only some freezer foods and something that keeps a while like oatmeal for breakfasts and then get some small portioned fresh stuff when you’re home if you’re feeling it that weekend. Beware though you will end up eating out on the weekends more if you go this route (even if you believe it’s the last thing you want to do). Also having a S/O to cook for you on the weekend helps too. Being too exhausted to go out most weekends saved me a lot of money too. If your lease is up soon and you have cheaper options in town or could move back in with your parents, think about it but remember there’s life after this short term project to deal with
