Will exit opps differ if I go from D to KPMG? Heavily considering a KPMG offer but just worry I am jeopardizing my exit opps for a $25k bump (15%).

Deloitte isn't actually regarded that much above KPMG, just memes and this bowl like to clown on KPMG for jokes

It depends on what team you are in and the region you are in. For some countries like my own, Deloitte Digital is considered vastly superior to the other b4 tech arms (not part of DD FWIW) so that might impact you. The type of project and what team you are in is the key for your exit ops

It's all the same 💩. Chase the $ (especially at lower levels where network isn't worth as much).

like

No difference. From the client standpoint, unless it's in one of the few niches where one B4 is markedly better than the others, B4 = B4.

I'm exiting to FAANG and no one cared where I come from. I was doing there what I loved, I became really good at it, and it was an easy move to industry since I had the right technical background and stories to tell in the interviews. For context, I applied to 3 FAANG roles and got interviews for all 3, went ahead with 1 as I didn't want to burn bridges in case I would've ended up with 2 offers, and got the job. It's what you know not the brand of your Firm.

Why not just start looking for your exit opp now?

I should also add the work at K is more aligned with my interests (would be jumping to a diff function altogether).

like

If those interests align with where you want to be after consulting, then KPMG would benefit you.

It doesn’t matter. The substance of your work will matter way more than one particular big 4 over another. On the off chance you find someone who cares, D is already on your resume

I was just offered a position with a non-profit organization. It’ll be a great transition from my current fellowship, and I’m super excited about the offer. What is the professional way to accept the current offer and possibly leave if offered the clerkship? If it helps, this will be my second post-graduate position.

Can’t help but feel invisible in my current situation- I’ve been pursuing a transfer for over a year (within my same group) and even though I’ve repeatedly asked for help and pulled in directors and partners —I keep getting pawned off to different people. This has cost me a promotion this year although I’m a high performer and my pay is at the high end of my bracket. Meanwhile, white colleagues are getting promoted each year (unheard of). Seeking advice - have 2 competing offers. First opportunity is in consulting (ACN) and the other is in industry with similar responsibilities as consulting. Industry opp company is a startup. I’ll have to take a cut of $13k in base + bonus + 401k match in industry vs consulting offer. Industry opp is at a Director level for strategy & operations and involves client management. Would really appreciate your input. Thanks!
