When you join EPAM HR clearly will mention you that they don't have hire and fire policy. They will find the project until you get one. They will help you to improve your skills by assigning mentors and get projects for you. There are people in EPAM who is on bench for 3 to 6 months. They have been paid fully for these months. And they got the projects after that.
If you are talking about recession. EPAM revenue and profit numbers are quite good they can easily survive recession.

Not scaring anyone but the strangest thing happened. I was interviewed and selected as a Data Engineer in Epam system and my offer letter rolled out on 26 April 2022. I declined the offer via email yesterday(21-June-22) after accepting it and my DOJ is 27-June-22. The HR called me and asked some bland questions and said it's OK. The recruiter didn't even call me or asked me any reason for not joining. I was expecting some blacklist talk but none, as if nothing has happened.
EPAM is employee friendly company. They never force anyone's decision. I personally experienced that. Now days every company releasing offer letters and if they take 5 members 3 to 4 members are not joining because of different reasons. So this is common reaction. Many companies have same reaction to when I said I don't join thier company. Since I had already been offered more and nothing they could offer more. For 6 years 34 LPA is actually huge amount. So they gave same reaction to you as well.
But no one answered the main question.Whether they will fire employee or not.
@epam 4 I heard lay off took place for year 2019-2020 in Epam. Any reason for that?
I had a similar experience as GL1:
TA team shared the Offer and then completely went incommunicado. Finally, just few days before the joining there were few casual check in’s sounding as if they were done with their part.
On the day of joining there was too much of commotion on the call with EPAM Systems and Anywhere folks all joining together and most of the folks not provided with the joining credentials.
Folks joining a bit late were casually marked as “Not Started”.
Glassdoor too had some HR and onboarding process related issues reported which I ignored as outliers but then having first hand experience of the indifferent attitude from TA and HR team raised some serious doubts forcing me to reconsider going ahead with the onboarding process.
All-in-all it seems like the KPIs are around showing the number of offer letters rolled out, which once met, rest is left to be ignored as “candidates not interested/joining”.
No news of firing.. i hear only hiring.. lots of referral emails and recruitment drives happening...
