So - we are doing remote school but schools have been open in NJ for in-person instruction as well. My kids’ school is actually pretty awesome in the arrangements they do for remote learning. But even they are closed already for 2 weeks as 3 kids tested positive !!! So much for freedom.

Bonus Structures:

Looking for a comparison to what other firms are offering and how this one stacks up. Ours is working out a brand new bonus structure:

Our general targets are 75% util. Billable or qualified non-billable time. Bonuses will be $1000 per quarter just meeting that. $25/ hr for every billable hour beyond that on top.

A couple questions for the turnaround consulting fishes:
1. Is FP&A experience valuable for restructuring/turnaround consulting? I’m a CPA with experience in Big 4 FDD and a short stint in IB. Total work experience is a little over 2 years. I recently joined a RE company as a Sr FA in FP&A where I expect that I’ll be mostly doing budgeting & forecasting work.
2. If my goal is turnaround consulting, what should I focus on right now to best position myself?

Sources: Big win for Harris County and for Texas voter access. The Texas Supreme Court has denied a Republican petition to toss 100k+ ballots cast at drive throughs during early votes. Still a federal court hearing tomorrow but Texas court saying all good is wind in the sails of Harris. Federal judge is unlikely to overturn as it is a question of Texas law and TXSC has ruled its okay.
