How do you make local friends as a 29 year old guy who is about to get married? Some of my best friends are leaving Chi in the next year and I’m nervous I won’t have friends I can hang with on the weekend or check out new restaurants with in the future.

Am I in the wrong here? After working full day, I was taking a nap in the evening before we start offshore handoff calls. My wife sends the kids to wake me up and brush their teeth. I was so mad that she chose to wake me up for 2-3 min brushing and had an argument.

Mom of two here (21 month old and 5 month old) who is starting to consider having a third. I am in my late 30’s and my doctor just recommended I start trying at 6 months postpartum. I am thinking I want to start closer to 8-10 months postpartum but have no idea what to expect with a third. Is anyone in a similar situation? Does anyone have any advice/tips for helping a spouse or SO who is suffering from depression and anxiety. My SO has made the commitment to speak with a doctor but the appointment isn’t for another two weeks and they are really struggling right now. I’ve never dealt with this before and want to be as supportive as possible.

Going through a terrible breakup. Whenever I wake up, either in the morning or from a nap, I immediately uncontrollably cry because of the immediate thought that he is no longer next to me. The worst part is that we’re living together still (not talking or sleeping in the same room). I can’t even imagine what it will be like when we can finally break our lease. Does this feeling ever end?

How do you deal with irritability from medication? I NEED vyvanse to be able to do my job, but I try so hard to only take it a couple days a week because the irritability as it wears off is nuts. I do my best to still be pleasant around my SO but on days I take it I absolutely can’t stand any physical contact, and things that normally just mildly annoy me are suddenly intolerable. Feel like I’m stuck between being good at my job and being a good partner.

F here. I’ve had trouble in relationships because idk how to fight healthily. I’ve been going to therapy for it but I’m struggling atm because my boyfriend who I love so much, I’ve brought to his breaking point with my anxiety fueled approach. I don’t blame him. A lot of this stems from watching my parents & their toxic fights. I want to change not only for myself but for him, because I believe he is worth changing for. But has anyone ever gone through this & made it out better?

My current job where I'm a Business int. Analyst at a startup, my total salary is $62k (started at 57k & got a 5k bonus after 1st year). In 4-5 months I'm going to get a promotion once I complete 2 yrs, assuming it'll bring the total salary to be around $70-75K
Recently got an offer from a FANG comp. The offer is $66K base, 17K sign-on bonus in 1st year & 12k in 2nd year & RSUs valued at $40k vesting: 4 years
I think the new offer is quite low, expecting base to be at-least $80k.
