Not everywhere takes Amex so I’m hopeful that is not the case
My takeaway from the Mercury WBL training is that all expenses regardless of amount are required to be imported from AMEX. Which is technically the case now as policy says AMEX should be used for everything but it’s easy to submit a PDF of receipts regardless of card used. In the rare case that AMEX isn’t accepted you have to go through extra steps. You will still need to submit a hotel or air bill but everything else just gets linked to AMEX. The Expense part of Mercury appears to be very cumbersome but the rest of Mercury should streamline operations.
My hertz account always defaults to my personal card on my profile and ignore the corporate card that I use during booking. I always submit the PDF receipt i get via email. Did this like 5 times for car rental and twice for hotel and never gotten audited.
@EY1 I hope that’s not the case. @EY4 Thanks for the examples!
Not until Mercury goes live. After that you won’t get reimbursed

EY1 are you serious?
People lose cards, places only take cash. You will always be able to get a real business expense approved that wasn’t charged to an amex account
It might not be in policy or the firms preference, but it’s reality
