Will I have slower gains if I don’t drink whey protein post workouts? Sometimes I go days without it. Background - I do F45 Monday to Friday and sometimes I just go days without taking whey protein. Is that bad ?

Protein is critical to building muscle, and sometimes people don’t get enough through daily food intake alone (especially if they’re not really paying attention to what they’re eating in a day). So protein powder can be a quick/easy/effective way to add in another 20 or so grams into your day.

I personally used it more when I would workout before work pre-covid and not really eat breakfast - I would workout, shower, and make a shake to take with me en route to work. That way I knew I was getting some protein in in the morning/post workout. Now I use it less since I work out randomly in my day when I have the time and usually can eat a meal not too long after with protein in it instead.

No. As they often say, people were swole before protein shakes were a thing. They def can help, but if you’re eating a normal, healthy ish diet and not going for crazy fitness goals, you should be getting enough protein from your regular diet already.

Has F45 proven to be effective?

Protein fries your kidneys. Skip the bullshit fake powder and eat real food.

An oncologist I know says he’s seeing an uptick in breast cancer in teenage boys because of all the soy milk their mamas fed them.

I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 12. My family did not opt to put me on medication. I illegally discovered Adderall in college. Worked incredible. Got diagnosed after college & after having been fired from my first job. Passed the CPA exams on Adderall. Went off of it again. Housing/rent q— In a 3 bedroom with two roommates in Brooklyn and for 8 months of our lease we’ve dealt with mice issues. Our old managment company was so bad at responding to our requests/inefficient, so we took to buying traps ourselves. The problem would go away, and then we’d find another mouse. Managment recently changed in February and thy’ve been much more responsive but we’ve caught 10 mice at this point. Asked for one month of rent free, but LL only offered $500. How to deal with change? 1 year out of college and living with 3 of my best friends, just talked about living together for next year but they are all moving to new cities. I work out every day, typically between 30-70 minutes (sometimes even 2-a-days) mixing in cardio/weight training/hybrid and have been doing so for the past 3 years consistently.
